this place is a complete rip-off, and the smug old fart that stands at the counter is an a$$ as well. They have the highest prices in the area, the oldest lanes and scoring, its the equivalent of being mugged. The owner raised prices at the snack bar, and decreased quantity. Example: raised price on mozzarella sticks, and lowered quantity from 6 to 5. You are chased out by staff as soon as your league ends, because they need to close before a certain time. Supposedly this is due to an agreement with the city of O'Fallon. the pro shop is now closed, this was literally the only reason some people frequented this establishment. But hey, they brought back the mechanic who doesn't actually do mechanic work. Probably because he doesn't disagree with the owner. I here this place is for sale. Hopefully the next owner does better, this one doesn't belong in a service industry. read more

From my daughter's Facebook post. Last night Max was told he had to eat outside at the Fronteir Lanes Bowling alley in Ofallon, Mo. When we arrived at the bowling alley there were signs posted everywhere about no outside food NOT EVEN WATER BOTTLES (there's a story behind this one I'll put in comments) Upon arrival I let the young man at the counter know that my son has Anaphylactic food allergies and a medical condition requiring him to bring safe food with him and an Epi pen. He immediately got nervous and said "uhhh okay I have to tell my manager" he then walked to talk to his manager (who was sitting at the edge of the bowling alley with his lady friend mean mugging the entire place like a bouncer) We had been running errands all day so when we got there Max was hungry. My sister had just gone to the snack bar and ordered food for the other kids and Dan was on his way to the bar to order a bucket of beer. We were going to spend quite a bit of money..and then the manager got up and came walking towards me. Max already had his lunchbox out and I told him just to wait a moment..and that's when Scott said Max needs to leave! "He can have his medicine in here if he needs it but the food has to go, he can go outside if he's hungry" I explains to him that he has a medical condition and is protected with a 504 and the ADA. I asked him if he was fimilar with the Americans with Disabilities Act and he just continued to say Max had to leave. A 9 year old. Sit in a car alone..while his cousins are bowling and eating food together. Not happening. By this time Dan was asking him questions. Can you feed him and keep him safe? No, so we have to provide his food and you have to let him eat it. Accommodations. Dan made it clear we are all spending money..I didn't sneak in a Sub platter to feed our group. Scott wasn't hearing it. His reasoning is local health code. A cop-out. Federal law trumps state and local. I kind of wish I would've asked to see his Serve Safe certificate. We left. No way will I spend my money at a business such as this. Scott was the manager and he was in the wrong for the WAY he spoke to us, and the owners needs to DO BETTER at training employees on the ADA. They need to treat people better. We went to O'Fallon bowl which we've been numerous times before. They also have signs posted and are in the same city (same health code) and when I tell them he has medical reasons they are good with it. Never an issue. We've had a birthday party there and they've been great working with us! Same as Tropicana Lanes in Clayton. Same as EVERY business we've encountered in Max's lifetime (he turns 10 soon) You normally explain the ADA and they're good but Scott just puffed his chest up more and more. Wasn't worth a fight. I'll be calling the owners and hopefully come to an understanding so they can be better in the future. read more

Frontier Bowl is outstanding. The bowling alley is clean and the staff are all professional. If you go there hungry they have amazing food. We were able to try the Pulled Beed, Brats and the Meat Loaf. (Meat Loaf is not the kind mom used to make, this was outstanding) Great place to bowl and to eat. read more

A great find in Ofallon. It is clean, not smokey smelling like other lanes near us. Staff is friendly. The layout is a bit different with the tables behind the lanes but it works out better this way. Open to midnight with a clean bar and cheap drinks. Be back for more very soon. Great owners and people! read more

12/21/2016 My kids and I bowled here last night with another adult and her children. The worker that took care of us was super nice and accommodating getting 4 11 year olds set up for an intense bowling game! Great pricing $3 for shoe rental and $2.50 per person per game. UNFORTUNATELY this bowling alley has undergone new management/ownership recently. This Friday 12 of my friends and I were bowling, and decided to take a smoke break. While outside, the new owner came outside and proceeded to tell the few of us smoking to "get the fuck out of HIS parking lot" because we were "loitering." Afterwards he walked to our lanes and started an argument with my boyfriend who was still bowling at the time, claiming again that we were "loitering" even though we were still spending money at his establishment. He told my boyfriend to "sit down" as well as "finish bowling" and then said he was going to call the cops, which was completely unjustified. Because we found this man to be quite contradictory and lack any logic, we left. Will not ever be back. read more

As far as bowling alleys go, this place isn't awful. I prefer Brunswick Zone in St. Peters, but Frontier is clean and somewhat modern.

I absolutely love this bowling alley. It is non smoking, it has cheap prices, very clean interior, and decent food! I gave this place five stars because it is much better when it comes to pricing against its competitors in the area like Brunswick. Also it is quiet and not as crazy as Brunswick is. You can bowl one game for 2$ on weekdays an 3$ on weekend ends. Shoes only cost 2$ to rent. Also there are no time limits on the games which is awesome and beats Brunswick any day in my book. Best bowling alley in all of Ofallon! The only negative comment I have towards the place is that they don't allow you to bring in your own water. This doesn't make sense because all I have to do to get water is ask them for a water cup and fill it up at the water fountain. I would say that that is pointless but hey the place is still great. read more

This place was clean, non-smoking, and we were able to get onto a lane after only waiting 20 minutes on a Saturday night. The owner was walking around and was very cranky and negative and didn't seem to mind that he was complaining in front of all of his customers... The concessions are reasonably priced and taste okay, but the staff behind the counter was totally RUDE. They watched me patiently wait (only one waiting) for TEN MINUTES before even acknowledging me just because they were busy chatting and SLOWLY preparing someone else's food order... Everything was taken out of the freezer and placed into the fryer, that shouldn't take ten minutes and ignoring customers is never okay. All I ordered was nachos, which means they needed to take a plastic cup already stuffed with chips and just fill it with cheese, but they wouldn't help me so I could get on my way.. read more

A group of friends and I went to this establishment about 4pm yesterday for a birthday as a group and there were a few things that need to be addressed. First of all, I would like to say that I really do not believe this establishment is welcoming of black people. When we arrived we noticed there was a group of black people bowling in the corner, other lanes were open but we were told to wait. When that group had completed their bowling, we were placed in the exact same corner. That should have been an indicator to leave but we had driven about 30-40 mins and we had no alternative plans to celebrate our friends birthday. One of the males in our group went to get a drink and was ignored. As he waited a white couple entered the establishment and the bartender yelled "Hey how yall doing?!?! " literally while ignoring him. Also, the food did not come until our games were over it was literally like this place did not want us in there. Do not frequent this establishment if you are a person of color they are not welcoming and they are rubbing it off on the younger employees working there. Will never go back and will definitely ensure I let anyone know who mentions them to never spend a dime there. read more

Went here for a birthday party and was clean with a friendly staff. Good wasn't bad, non smoking and open lanes.

Our evening started great. We had a large group, about 12 people, played (almost) three games. One member of our group had dropped his ball, it happens. Shortly after the owner came to him and stated that we were being too loud and disruptive to other bowlers.... I'm sorry but that's a bit ridiculous. There were maybe 5 groups there, no children, it was a Saturday night and isn't bowling supposed to be fun? Apparently not to the new owner. Another member of our group went to go buy something from the bar and was informed that our entire group had been "cut off". She asked to speak with the manager and the owner showed up and simply said, "I have that right". No other explanation. With that being said, we did not finish our third round, turned in our shoes, paid, even though we didn't want to, and walked outside seeing FOUR cop cars waiting for us. The police were very nice and obviously had no idea why they were called. We were not rude to anyone inside the establishment, nor disruptive. Seems the owner just doesn't like good business. Again, I will never return to this place. read more
