Hoss set up all the equipment we'd need and talked us through the process, as this was our first time to fish for striped bass. We had a blast! We caught 5 fish that morning, from 5-20 pounds each, and had a great time talking with Hoss in between reeling in the fish. We ended the day around 11. Hoss also said that he also does trophy fishing, so we may do that next time we use his guiding service (fewer catches, but what you do catch is pretty dern big). Can't wait to go back!

Last summer we fished below the Loudon TN dam and caught a bunch of huge strippers and a few white bass, and we didn't think it could ever get better than that first experience, well it did! Because the dam was spilling, Ty told us we would have to go to plan B. When I heard this I was a little concerned, but it tuned out to be an amazing experience! We immediately caught a few medium strippers, and then started catching BIG catfish and BIG drum. As that slowed down, we move to another site and started catching BIG bass - large mouth, small mouth, and white bass. All could have been keeper! There were times we had three fish on at the same time and Ty was just as excited as we were! Not only is he a great guide, he loves to fish, and is a genuinely a good guy! Captain Keith was very accommodating & worked with our schedule to allow us to eat at Mudpuppies then get the boat at 1:30 PM. He was so very nice and did a great job checking us in! The pontoon boat was clean, in good repair, easy to drive, easy to get in & out of to swim. The Marina is now under new owners, and they have remodeled the bathrooms, added extra stalls and they are so much better! We will certainly rent from here again!

When we arrived, the staff was friendly and helped us get settled on the water. Two hours was the right amount of time. One hour would have been too short, but we were definitely tired by the end of two. One of the best things about this place is that it's already located on the water. We grabbed a beer at the beer porch at check in and let me tell you, this place is adorable. The bar is set up in a tiki style and they offer several beers selections on draft as well as in bottles. After a quick walk down to the water front, we were assisted with getting our paddle boards in the water. We paddled for 2 hours and watched the sun set. The vantage point from river offered beautiful views of the sunset over our pretty city. Once we were finished, we paddled in and were helped out of the water. We never had to carry anything! You can rent paddle boards, single and tandem kayaks, and hydro-bikes. The rates are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and there is so much fun to be had.
