Food was on point!!!! Place was packed and a line wrapped around but boy do these folks worked fast and efficient! A hole in the wall kinda of vibe, with seating if you wish but order to go is the way to go! Prices are incredible for the amount of food you get from one serving. Will definitely be back!! Yum!!

Fritanga Pinolandia is by far one of the top choices for cafeteria Nicaraguan food in Miami, and this location is consistently busy for very good reason. The star for me -their Carne Asada--skirt steak cooked with a great char and juicy inside. It's plated with rice and peas (gallo pinto) and ripe plantains (maduros), and be sure to say yes to their side of fried cheese that really completes the dish. You'll almost always see a line, but service moves quickly if you speak up and use some Spanish phrases or clear visual cues for what you want. The price point is unbeatable for the quantity and quality you get, making it a reliable go-to for flavorful, filling meals.

A better explanation numbers don't add up right.

Spoke to cashier 1 Breakfast $6.00 1 Side of plantains $3.00 2 fried cheese $4.00 1 large drink $6.00 Taxes 7% $1.33 Total. $20.33 A better explanation numbers don't add up right on the receipt.

THIS PLACE HAS NOT CLOSED! I was just there in March 2023 Got food to eat there, but have at least two more meals of leftovers to bring home. I got the Arroz Con pollo, roasted pork, and maduros plantains. My friend had the Gallo pinto (black beans and rice) and yuca (cassava), and we both got the queso frito. There was a line but it moves very fast. I will return. Inside seating area was spacious. They probably could have more tables.

Cio.

Take it from a Nica girl, you may end up falling in love with Fritanga if you ever eat the food. The place does not disappoint! My friend and I came to eat on a Friday afternoon for lunch around noon. There was a small line to order food but it wasn't too long, we just had to wait about 10mins more or less. I ordered the Carne Asada with rice and beans, a tortilla and fried cheese. Fuego! Fuego! It was delish! The meat was cooked fresh, the rice had lots of flavor and the tortilla and cheese were pretty good too. They also have a smal market to order other foods like dessert and drinks. Definitely recommend for Fritanga, you will not regret!

Before I begin to gush about how good this food was full disclosure I am Nicaraguan on behalf of my parents so many of these dishes were either staples of our house or special occasion type of food. Or I would gorge on them when I would vacation in Nicaragua. Walking in this place was PACKED! It was a Saturday after getting off a 3 hour plane ride and it was the first place I NEEDED to go. The line was long but by no means was it a long wait. There are 4 people behind the food counter and they take your order as fast as you share it and they are packing the food up. There were 6 of us so we ordered the entire menu. We ordered Gallo Pinto (Rice and Black beans mixed) Carne Asada (Grilled Steak), Tajadas (thin sliced & fried green plantains), Enchilada (Deep fried stuffed tortilla), Queso Frito (Fired Cheese), Madurro Relleno (deep fired Yellow Plantain stuffed with cheese), Nacatamal (Type of boiled dish wrapped in leaves made from a corn paste, stuffed with veggies and meat) and Cacao (Milk mixed with roasted cocoa powder). If I could describe this scene it was like a shark frenzy I was eating from here and from there and did my best to remember to breathe. Everything was hot, flavors were on point, the hot sauce on the table was flowing because I was drowning in it. Word to the wise parking is not ideal so if you see a spot grab it if not park around the corner and walk. It's worth it. This type of restaurant is not unique around Miami but to my folks its their favorite and I can understand why. I can easily give this place 5 stars for the cultural experience, authenticity of the flavors and being able to scratch that itch for me.

Tripe and pig knuckle soup , they package the soup separate

One of the hidden gems of Miami ! I was pleasantly surprised at how big the food portions were and how reasonably priced , one plate can feed me for 4 days! I'm not even exaggerating ! Looks can be deceiving and from outside it doesn't look like much, maybe even a bit intimidating . But don't let that scare you , inside is a great food counter system , offering amazing cooked food. Their covid procedures were excellent! Clean and orderly !

Clean dining area.

Driving back from Miami and wanted to stop by and get authentic Latin food. And all I can say is WOW- I am stuffed! Carne Asada was FIRE! Amazing. It was well seasoned, cooked thoroughly, and soft! Arroz Moro- this rice was so flavorful! Shredded Beef- tender, well balanced, and flavorful. Location- the location on is a little sketchy, however, they have secure parking, a security guard, and their were families there. Wait time- NONE! The food though already prepared, tasted like it was done at the moment. *they spoke Spanish but they understood in English!

Great food as always. Could do a better job of enforcing social distancing between customers in line to order takeout.
