Omg I stumbled upon this little gem by accident while walking through Savannah today. All sorts of little treasures on every shelf! It's like traveling around the world in one little store. The gentleman who runs it( probably the owner) is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and eager to help without hovering. I was exploring downtown Savannah with my cousin who suggested we go in to Frieze, that it was one of his and his wife's favorite shops for unique gifts. Wonderful shop with eclectic glass and ceramic goods, plus smaller candles & incense and cards. I was very interested in some motivational/inspirational wall hangings but it was raining so I planned to return the next day - which I did! I loved the shop owner's dog Bailey who was always there to greet customers, and Robert the owner was helpful and polite and all-around nice. I ended up buying my "typewriter thoughts" plus delicious candles. I would recommend Frieze to everyone and will definitely shop there again the next time I'm visiting Savannah. read more

I walked in and saw the Owner (?) with his golden retriever following him and that started with the good impressions. Very Feng Shui/Karma feeling environment. Feels good, Smells good, comfortable with a lot of hard to find Asian art & Sculpture. The wife and I were very impressed will post pictures later. Robert, the owner, is super nice, and stopping in to pet Bailey the shop dog is well worth the visit alone. But the shop was CHOCK FULL of some beautiful and eclectic pieces that were all gorgeous; definitely plan to visit on your way BACK to where you're staying, because making this the first stop will mean you're carrying an armful for your walk! It had a good mix of some of the sassy and kitschy word art that's pretty approachable, but some really gorgeous glass and international pieces if that's more your vibe! There is no mandate of masks in the city or the store. I have terrible claustrophobic issues. I never really felt the need to tell complete strangers my childhood issues . My husband and I walked in the store and browsed half of it (only patrons there). When we got closer to the desk the man behind it asked if I had a mask. I said "no" and then he asked me to get one and told me tomorrow it is mandatory (news to me visiting for the first time). I told him I would rather leave the area than wear a mask and he said "I hope you do leave" . I walked out of the store and walked back in the door and he says (dramatically) "don't come near me". (I am 8 feet away and had just stepped in the threshold). You see, people like him want to be victims. I explained to him that today is my 25th wedding anniversary and we were having such a lovely time here and he is the first person in any state that has been so awful to us and that he ruined our day. By the way if there was a sign on the door that said please wear a mask I wouldn't have walked in in the first place. Is he enjoying accosting strangers & visitors to this city? I just don't understand. I believe this man feels like he is morally superior. This pandemic is not changing hearts; it's revealing them. read more

The dog is sweet, but this not at all about the dog.....The store is clean and has several interesting designer typed dust collectors. However, my problem was that the owner never greeted me nor said a thing to me, in fact he ignored me completely. I was the only customer in the store and we walked by one another two to three times.
