I know art has happened at this very location before, but in the words of Gertrude Stein, there is no there, there. Though I should be morally opposed to reviewing a place I've never been to, I've made all the attempts I can muster--I've stood in this building and peered into darkened windows during what are supposed to be gallery hours. I've sought out info online--found the website and images of past exhibits, read articles about their beginnings, read about artists that mention them, but never found so much as an explanation as to why so elusive. Why so invisible? So here it is. I'll be the voice, the one star rating that says, yeah I understand it's Pontiac, but maybe update your website... Maybe say something like, "We're taking a break" or "Be Back Soon" or "Bye-bye, bitches! We're never coming back so stop lookin' at pictures through our windows!" When we brought our inexpensive piece in, we were met with disgust and condescension by one of the employees. After bringing up the less than stellar customer service moment with management, they were quite nice and apologetic. Their response was great because we did spend over $1,000 to have our, I guess, substandard artwork-at least in the eyes of their "curator"- stretched to hang in our home. Our next experience was nothing but positive, another vintage, oversized piece, treated beautifully and delivered to our home. The quality of work and convenience of the delivery option is fabulous.

The work includes numerous collectable autographed Jerseys they have mounted on a white backset with a black custom framing. As part of this work, the uniforms were stretched to eliminate any wrinkles and attached/sewed on the backset using fish string so that the sewing would not be visible. Frames were very well made with clean joints and of sturdy wood to support the heavy weight of the finished product with robust wire attachments affixed to the back side of the frames for mounting. I was impressed with the care and diligence that went into the work and the obvious attention to detail to ensure the jersey was properly stretched to avoid any wrinkling while mounting to the backset. Overall, very satisfied with the finished product and would highly recommend for similar type work.

It's located on the college campus. They feature a lot of classics plays and new stuff as well. It's located in Rochester so the drive from Detroit can be taxing-- it's about 35-40mins. I've seen Little Shops of Horror, a Christmas Carol, Blues in the Night and a couple of others that I can't recall the names. The theater is pretty spacious. It's not the Opera House but it's nice and family friendly. There's also a small art gallery located inside which features some very talented artists that I believe attend or attended the university.

The theatre seats 584 people and the in and out is rather slow but well worth the wait. The Theatre has a no eating or drinking policy to preserve the Theatre's clean and polished atmosphere. The history of the Meadowbrook Theatre is on the walls to your left and right as you walk the hallway to the Theatre. It was very nostalgic reading the Theatre beginning and triumphs. The Meadowbrook Theatre is on the Oakland University Campus which provides ample parking and a short walk to the entrance. The grounds are well kept and clean. I will be coming back to visit and watch more performances this year. The 2022 schedule is up and full of all different shows to choose from. I'll be trying to get my culture on this year and why not you as well.
