I've been here a total of twice now. First time I went in exclusively for a dip mani. The second time I got my dip redone and a pedi. First time was a good experience all around - no complaints. The second time was truly an experience - and not a particularly great one. The pedicure was fantastic. I would go again just for the pedicure. The dip mani the second time, however, was awful. I picked out a color from their samples and the guy went to get the color. After he started, I noticed he was using the wrong color. It looked nothing like what I picked out and it was awful. He gets obviously frustrated with me for pointing this out. I pointed out the color he was using vs the one that I wanted and he went off and got the other color. It looked exactly the same as the shade he initially put on my hands - which is not the color I wanted, and I told him as much. He halfway took off the bright blue nail polish from my hands and tried to put a lighter brown over the top of it. Obviously it showed through, so he took it all off and started over. I wanted rounded tips and ended up with uneven tips that don't look spectacular upon closer inspection. The color is nice. My fingers, however, are all torn up and bruised - even underneath the nail from how roughly he was treating them. I was nearly in tears as he was using the drill files - my hand even involuntarily jerked away a few times. He would just pull it back and keep going. I'm giving three stars because I had one good experience and one bad experience, so I'm hoping that it was just a bad day. I'll give it another go when it's time to redo these. Hopefully I get a different nail tech - or at least someone that doesn't seem to intentionally want to cause me pain.. read more

The girl who did my pedicure was great. I wish she would've done my nails to because the guy at seat #4 on the second row was not anywhere close to friendly. All of my nails are uneven and I can fit a nail in between the gap he left from my cuticle to my polish even after I asked him to fix it. He didn't even give me time to give a tip before turning around and walking away. I will give it one another chance but I never want him to touch my nails again! read more

2 weeks ago I went and got a full set from here and i loved them. However, I went back yesterday to get a fill in and the lady that did my nails was very rude to me. She did my nails very very quickly it was as if she was rushing to get done. After my nails had dried, I noticed they were not shiny at all and brown spots that you can clearly see. I went and told the lady my complaints, and she was very rude with me. She kept telling me that it was my real nail that was brown and that it was not shiny because I got regular polish. She would not give a chance to explain that the brown stuff was clearly left over polish thshe did not get off from my last color (I had a dark brown). Then, as I went to pay their card reader kept declining my card, so she proceeds to right down my card number, expiration date, and security code on and piece of paper and told me that she would try again later. I did not like that so I told her I would go get cash from the ATM. As I was telling her that, she would not make eye contact with me and did not respond. When I came back with cash I tried once again to explain the brown on my nails and she refused to look at them. So, I asked for the piece of paper with my card number on it and left. Friendly Nails and Spa is anything but friendly. I went the other day and asked for a FULL SET with gel on top. I clarified multiple times and even wrote it on the sign in sheet. The mane doing my nails seemed to forget I wanted a full set and when I kindly reminded him, he was clearly angry and did not try to hide it. He asked me "why did you not say you wanted a full set?". Again, I reminded him that I had said that when I walked in and it was written down on the paper. He continued to scold me and make me feel stupid for asking for "fake nails". He continued to forcefully glue on my acrylics and cut my fingers multiple times. I will not be going back here. read more

A couple of years ago, I gave this salon an excellent review.I happened to have some of the female attendants. Do my pedicures.They were great!Then a man did mine one time and he pretty much abused me even pulling my foot out of the tub by my big toe. He was. Horrible! From then on, I always asked for a woman. Last time I went, there was only a man available and it was a different man so I. Gave him a chance and he did a great job. So, today. , when I went in and there was only a man available another new one,. I decided to give him a chance.He treated me like the 1st guy did. He hurt me very badly! I sat out in the car and sobbed.My husband went back and complained to the owner and he barely looked up at him.If I ever enter this salon again, I will only let the women take care of me period so much for a treat for myself today! I did not particularly enjoy my experience here although I was told by people around town this was a great place to go. My tech tried pressuring me into purchasing gel until I lied about being allergic. My full set did not reach my cuticles. The acrylic is bumpy and uneven. The coffin style I requested (even offering a picture) was more a pointed claw. I had to go home and restyle them. Also, my hands looked a mess leaving the salon. Super disappointed. I have been to quite a few nail salons and I'm sad to say this missed the mark. :( read more

Visiting my husbands family in Cullman and wanting to take his mom and sister for pedicures I stumbled on this relatively​ new spot in town near the new Walmart and made a reservation for all 3 of us for spa pedicures at the same time. Coming from Atlanta where there's a nail spot like this on every corner and now having my favorite I was skeptical and left truly blown away! Not only is this a super clean, super friendly :) spot, but the whole family works there! The deluxe spa pedicure included so many special treats, like hot stones and since it was Christmas time they even threw in a lotion for each of us, not to mention they were about $10 cheaper than Atlanta. Cullman has more and more nail spas like this opening up, but I promise you will not be disappointed in the least choosing Friendly Nails & Spa! read more

Not friendly or clean at all. I've never been to a salon where they don't remove the tools from that plastic after being in a sterilizer. He was pulling tools laying around loose in a drawer. Also he seemed mad that he was having to do my nails. He seemed relieved to go back to his game on his phone while I was drying. I could have just had a bad experience, but they put the wrong color on my nails, cut my nails to the perfect length but was so bad at filing they ended up being SO short, NONE of my nails are filed straight, the shape of my nails is horrible, they didn't get the excess powder or polish out from under my nails so that is stuck under there. All in all very unhappy with my nails. I went with two other girls and two different people did their nails and both of their nails got messed up to. One had to get a fake put on and it is basically flipped upward and looks horrible, and I don't even remember what was wrong with the other girl's. Well, I tried this place but was not impressed. I feel like the time I get my nails done is a time to relax. But the salon was extremely noisy with 2 TV's going and some machine in the corner that was constantly. My experience with the nail techs that did my pedicure and my nails was not that great, as both of them were very rough. The person who did my pedicure, I had asked her a couple of times I did not want a leg or foot massage I just wanted lotion put on, but she massaged anyway even though I asked her several times in the process to please not do it. The nail tech was very impersonal and very rough, he jerked my hands and fingers around and was not gentle at all. Maybe it's just my opinion, but when I get my nails done I want a nice relaxing place with nail techs who are at least personable and gentle and not real quick to get the job done so they can get you out of there. read more

This is hands-down the best nail salon in Cullman! I'd give it 6 stars if I could. The service is amazing! I got the deluxe pedicure and it's the best I've ever had. I've tried several salons around town and this beats the rest by a lot! The pedicure lasted well over an hour and was well worth the $30. (They also have and express pedicure that takes only 25 minutes if you're in a hurry.) This place is awesome. Don't waste your money anywhere else! read more
