Then with encouragement we got second opinions by orthopedic vets. Our puppy got 5 pins in her leg for a spiral fracture that would not have healed correctly on its own. We traveled from Monroe to this vet for his incredible ability to reassure us, as well as to heal our puppy. He made a huge effort to let us know what was going on and continued to do this throughout the healing process having us email pics of how her pin tracts were and he took the time to say they were doing well. We wish we lived closer but will travel for any of these kinds of procedures , in a heartbeat. So compassionate and extremely educated and able to do specialized procedures. So pleased and so is our baby, Artemis. She loves him and his staff and we believe they truly love her.

My dog wasn't look at all!! The most they did was take his weight. He remained on his leash at my feet in the exam room. Never put up on an exam table. Not a finger was placed on my dog, all while the tests started adding up. Zero questions were asked of his daily routine (food, urine and poop outputs, overall life quality, what he could/couldn't do, etc....) mind you, he had never been there before. We didn't see Dr Quinn at all during this visit, possibly because I walked as quickly as possible, when I realized they cared less about him, but more on racking up the bill. I conclude it's a money hungry office with horrible care. Stay clear of this place!!

From friendly front desk staff to the caring vet techs and knowledgeable, professional vets, everyone is kind and loving when handling the pets. Dr. Ann and Dr. Kevin are usually the veterinarians who care for our pets, and I cannot say good enough things about them both. Dr. Ann is a great diagnostician and surgeon, and she has spayed/neutered the majority of our pets and rescues. One rescue, Rosie, had been a breeder dog in a puppy mill for 4 years and was fixed when she arrived, but had lumpy raised scars as well as excess skin. When Rosie developed breast cancer, Dr. Ann took out the extra skin and scar as well as the tumor, and Rosie came home with a healthy, smooth belly. Dr. Kevin loves all dogs, but especially labs and he has cared for several and they adore him! When our lab Sammy got diabetes and went blind, Dr. Kevin helped all of us adjust to new routines, and explained how Sammy would adapt to the yard, and what we should do. Because of him, Sammy lived 16 months happily. I could share hundreds of stories about Thumb Vets, and they would all be very good!

Dr. Young is absolutely amazing. We recently lost one of our fur-babies, Charming. We were seeking…read morea comfort care route for him, as he was nearing his final days. She answered all of the questions that we had, while she answered them in truth, she was so compassionate. She didn't treat us like "a job", we could truly see how much she cared. We thought we had enough medicine, and they were closing before we could get there to pick it up, and they actually let us pay over the phone and left it outside in a special hidden place for us to pick up. I called the next day, and asked the receptionist a few questions, and she relayed them to Dr. Young. The receptionist called us back within minutes and ask us to send Dr Young pictures of what we were noticing on Charming. I think she understood that taking him to see her again would have actually caused more strain on him. While we no longer have charming, she said something that stuck with us, "it's okay to say goodbye, even on a good day". We have two more fur-babies, and I plan on taking them to see her annually.
