We ended up here because we could not find an open table at META, located next to LaFiesta - would…read moreI return to LaFiesta? NOPE...I'lll wait for an open table at META.
Based on the advice of a "local," my colleagues and I went in search of an authentic and good vodka bar. We found it, META. Unfortunately, it was crowded and we could not get a table... there is a reason, good drinks and great people. We found an open table in a bar next to META, La Fiesta, Tequila Bar, but before we left META's area, a table of "locals" that quickly befriended us offered me a shot of his vodka that his table was drinking...who am I to say "no?" Great folks and vodka.
So...although a tequila bar, we wanted to drink some good, Polish vodka, not available in the states - our waiter, in a hushed voice stated that he has a great vodka that is the best NOT on the menu, but available. With such a great build up, how can we not partake. So after a few minutes, he returns with a bottle of...wait for it, BELVADERE?!?!? I admit, we looked at each other and said, WTF? Its vodka that's available back in the states...so we quickly begrudgingly drank it and returned to our hotel where we had some authentic Polish vodka (Wyorowa) not found in the states.
So, IF in Warsaw looking for great vodka and camaraderie (drinking is an international activity), go to META...IF looking for tequila and Mexican food, La Fiesta may be the place for you. I cannot comment on either as I did not partake in the food nor tequila, but based on what they served as the best vodka in Poland...I would pass.
