2 lg bowls of menudo $18 each and canned Cokes $3 each

LAKE ELSINORE LOCATION: We tried this place for the first time on a Sunday about 2 PM. The wait in line was approximately 20 minutes and we waited approximately an hour for two bowls of Menudo and three canned cokes. Was it worth it? Absolutely 100% would go back. The Menudo was the good kind of homemade... Full of flavor not greasy hot and just delicious. The Menudo came with a basket up for homemade tortillas that were so flavorful. The only thing I would do different is wait to get my cokes from the cooler until I receive my food because they did get warm waiting for the food to come out.

After being in Lake Elsinore for a little over a year it was a bit hard finding a restaurant that had the same "sazón" as my mom/grandma or Mexico. Today my wife and I decided to try Frida's place and maaaaaaaaaan were we amazed by the food. The lady at the counter greeted us, offered us menus and sat us down while allowing us enough time before we had to order. While we were seated we saw a few plates go out for the party seating behind us and everything smelled soooo goood! Well, we were not disappointed at all the foood was SOOOOO DELICIOUS. I tried the chicharrón en salsa roja plate. I also ordered a plain cheese quesadilla with handmade corn tortilla. The salsa roja in the chicharrón was perfect, not too spicy and not too mild, just perfect. The refried beans were delicious just like back home, and overall both of our plates had very good portions. My wife had a cóctel de camarón and she loved the seasoning in it, not too spicy not too mild again, just perfect I paired my plate with a cold Sangria (refrescó) while my wife had hers with a coke. They had Jarritos and bunch of other flavors to choose from. Who would've thought a little hole in the wall would've brought so many good memories while eating delicious food. It was worth the wait and I highly recommend this place to all of you! Muchas gracias por todo y les deseo mucho éxito! Nos vemos para la próxima!

2 tacos de chales, 1 al pastor

Have gone twice since their opening in May. Super yummy food, finally a place that has freshly made tacos de chicharron. They call them chales (pork belly) with freshly made tortillas. I feel they are fair prices.$2 for a taco, $3 with the handmade big tortilla. Al pastor is very good. Chile relleno plate was delish! Will be trying more stuff out so far everything has been A1

We happened to be running an errand & came across this small gem nestled in Lake Elsinore. A small taco shop/restaurant with delicious food. We ordered street tacos with handmade tortillas, quesabirria with a side of rice. They provided us with chips and salsa which was spicy but flavorful. This is about a 30 minute drive from home but we will for sure be making this drive again.

    California burrito

It's good. It's a big burrito. Not your typical California burrito though. The meat had some chewy tendons in it and the "guacamole" was more like avocado slices. It does the job if you're itching for a ca burrito tho.

Really authentic Mexican food, people will call this a hole in the wall but if you like great tasting Mexican food this is the perfect place, Pozole, tacos, birria, mariscos etc,,,,,,,,todo está riquísimo , muy amables y excelente servicio .

3.00 tacos not worth it.. really skimpy, no flavor. Overcharged for 3 burritos and 1 taco handmade tortillas, 2 regular tacos $ 49.00.. Only given 2 lil salsas that don't have any flavor...

The menudo was great, it comes with hand made tortillas. I also had a Carnitas Taco.

This place is over rated. We ordered menudo no flavor and we ordered the quesabirra,it was so greasy and pricey. We won't be going again.

Another Wednesday deal is their OG fish tacos for $2.59 each, also before tax. We split the Beach Box, so each of us had about three tacos with fries. I do want to be honest though--I have celiac disease, which means I cannot have gluten. I haven't had gluten since I was diagnosed about a year ago, but this time I gave in. Seeing everyone else eating made it really hard to resist. I know it wasn't the best decision, but I ended up having some anyway. That said, if you're celiac like me, I wouldn't recommend this place. They do offer some options like mariscos, and you can replace flour tortillas with corn, but keep in mind there is always a chance of cross-contamination. It's definitely an "at your own risk" situation. I will say, when I came before and told them I have celiac disease while ordering their tacos, they did try to accommodate me as best as they could. It wasn't busy at the time, and they offered to clean the area and take extra precautions to avoid cross-contamination, which I found very thoughtful. But like I said, there's always a chance, so it's still at your own risk. As for the food itself, everything was very flavorful. The fish was crispy, well-seasoned, and tasted fresh. The fries were good, and the portions were solid. The salsa bar is self-serve and has bold, spicy flavors. If you like a lot of salsa with your tacos, you'll enjoy it. Customer service was great. We were greeted right away and given helpful recommendations. The restaurant is clean and has a nice vibe, with a really pretty mural inside. It does get busy, so expect a bit of a wait, but the food is worth it. They also have specials throughout the week, like potato tacos on Thursdays and Tijuana-style tacos on Tuesdays, which I've had before and really liked. Those are made with corn tortillas, but again, if you're celiac, just be mindful of cross-contamination. Overall, the food and experience were great. Just be cautious if you have dietary restrictions like I do.

We ordered whole shrimp, quail eggs, and sausages with the Crab N Spice sauce, the Cajun pasta, and an extra all-in sauce on the side. Our servers were friendly and explained everything thoroughly, as it was our first time here. They have plenty of options for the shrimp: peeled, heads off, etc. Our food came rather quickly after placing the order. The table was spacious and ready, lined with papers and a bucket for our trash. Our water was always full, and they checked in on us at the right time so we never felt like our servers abandoned us during our meal. The shrimp was cooked perfectly in the bag. My mistake was ordering the all-in on the side, because that is definitely my favorite sauce! and unfortunately made the Crab N Spice sauce milder than it was. I love the quail eggs in there! Sausages were okay. The letdown was the Cajun pasta. It felt lacking in flavor. Good thing we had the all-in sauce on the side, so it came in handy for adding a bit of flavor to the pasta. The pasta itself was cooked nicely. We will be back with the family and try the other items on the menu. The place is very spacious and can accommodate large groups.

Stuff like they cleaned or rinsed the mop in the same sink they prepared the food in. Just unsanitary things and I was concerned that this was perhaps the same business, just rebranded-still not entirely sure. Plus, the appearance kinda gave me fast food vibes-typically whenever a plus has that 'look-up menu' (a menu you have to look up at), it's the unhealthy, cheap fast food variety unseen at most every Thai restaurant. But, for some reason, I decided to give them a chance. And I'm glad I did. They may have my favorite pad thai in the area.I enjoyed it so much, I had to run it back again the next day. I'd also ordered the mango sticky rice. It was satisfying, just a little more syrupy than I care for. I forgot to get a picture of it. I only ordered delivery but I wouldn't mind stopping by in person and seeing how they do a number of my other favorite Thai dishes.
