Despite being busy, the wait for food wasn't bad at all, and the café had plenty of staff who were all very friendly and welcoming. We ordered their famous carrot cake, a hot chocolate, coffee, and two everything bagels with cream cheese, which came to $29.80 -- pretty reasonable for a café stop. The food itself was good and satisfying, even if not something I'd necessarily write home about. I'd be really interested in coming back to try their sandwiches next time when we have more time to stay. The atmosphere is cozy and a little cluttered in a charming way, with lots of things to look at that give the space personality. Overall, a nice spot for a casual coffee break or quick bite while in Hinton!

The egg was really dry. Kind of like it was frozen and then microwaved. My husband got a bagel with cream cheese for $5.75. It was mediocre at best. Would have rather gone to Tim Hortons. The pumpkin muffin was good but overall not happy with the misleading advertising and overpriced low quality food.

I recently visited this Dairy Queen location and had a mixed experience overall…read more The furniture and décor of the restaurant are definitely dated and could use some updating to make the space feel more inviting. One thing that stood out was that the freezers have locks on them, so an employee has to open them for you -- you can't even grab your own ice cream cake, which felt a bit inconvenient. It also appeared that there was only one employee working at the time. Because of this, if someone is ahead of you in line, you have to wait until their entire order is completed before you're even able to place yours, which made the wait longer than expected. We ordered two SKOR Caramel Brownie Cupfections. They tasted good and were enjoyable, but I paid an extra $1.28 each for additional fudge sauce, which felt a bit pricey for what was added. Overall, the desserts were tasty, but improvements to staffing, pricing transparency, and updating the restaurant's interior would really improve the customer experience.

We have eaten all over the world and are routinely eating at some of the so called best restaurants in the Bay Area SF city proper... hands down the best food we've had on our Calgary, banff, jasper trip out of all of the places we've eaten that were highly rated on yelp. We came back here to fmb twice! The beer here is better than bear paws brewery in banff and rivals several of the top tier micro breweries in Denver, Portland and the Bay Area. The food is very eclectic. We had the burgers Reuben fries and in particular the poutine is remarkable. The gravy reminds me of some of the best places in Montreal. Big cheese curds and perfectly fried French fries. The Reuben was probably the best Reuben I've had in awhile and I lived in Brooklyn NY for a year. It is not NY deli style but they smoke their meat and it brings a unique extra layer of taste better than NY deli style Reuben's. The beer was quite good we got the sampler, the cherry sour beer, Lemon witbier in particular were special. The hefeweizen was very good as well as the hazy IPA. One tip we didn't know is you order the pizza outside from the food truck and can still eat it at your table with food ordering from FMB. You can listen to my reviews or the bad ones. But the telling sign is how busy, packed and happy everyone whom eats here is.
