I ordered 3 subs with mild cheese to be heated. When I got my Subs, all 3 were burned and not just…read morethe bread even.m the cheese was burned. It wasn't surprising that my subs were too long in the oven. Despite the oven pep to warn that they were warm and ready the staff chose to only open the door and leave my Subs inside long after that pep. When I pointed out that my Subs were completely burned, one girl started removing the pitch black edges. Then took over another girl and said that it was not her fault as the oven always burns the sandwiches. I asked her to remove the burnt cheese and then she said she can't help me because she doesn't see my Subs burned. This was believed that a third male colleague pointed which parts were apparently burned. I gave her one last chance and asked her to remove the burned parts as I won't eat these. Then she replied that there is nothing she can do as all subway sandwiches look like that. Then I chose to leave my order and went home to Sollentuna. At Subways in ICA Maxi in Häggvik I got to order my Subs as I usually have them. Warm so that the cheese melts, but not burned!

The electronic screens were inaccurate and listed every allergen even in chips (from gluten to meat?), this was a common problem at all locations in Stockholm I visited. I ended up having to consult a staff member regarding their gluten-free offerings, she was unsure and later printed me something off in swedish. I understand there is a language barrier but considering the staff member who served me spoke both, I was shocked she handed it to me and refused to help (or get anyone else to), meaning I was left with a small list of ingredients in swedish which wasnt even printed clearly (printer running out of ink?) In the end, I had to go onto the McDonald's website and copy and paste it into Google Translate and in the end, I found out the sweet potato fries were gluten-free, but the staff made it clear to me that it didn't seem they understood taking allergies seriously, even more surprising considering McDonald's do have a much better GF selection of products in Sweden compared to the UK and US. The queuing area seemed to get hectic and mismanaged very quickly too, making it rather uncomfortable. 1*
