Love it here! Staff are friendly. Farmstand is clean and organized. Worth the prices. Local & fresh!

Not as good as I remember. No real price deals. There was a limited amount of meat and as always the meat side really stinks. The smell is quite awful.

I've had this barn-style market saved in my Yelp folder for quite a while now. I live about two hours away, and whenever I'm in Orlando I usually get sucked into the whole Disney Springs vibe and never make it to all the other amazing local businesses. This trip, though, there was absolutely no Disney involved -- and we finally stopped here on our way home Sunday morning. I feel like you know you're getting older when you get excited about grocery shopping. Normally when I go to Publix, I'm irritated before I even get inside. But this place? A completely different experience. Walking through and seeing all the locally grown vegetables and the meat selection -- clearly labeled as hormone-free and without all the extra junk you get at typical grocery stores -- was honestly mind-blowing. The prices were so reasonable I couldn't believe it. I purposely brought a cooler for the two-hour drive home, and even with everything I bought, I didn't spend over $100. If I had purchased the same items at Publix, I'm convinced I would've been close to (or over) $200. Beyond the prices, the quality and overall vibe made it so enjoyable. You're not breaking the bank feeding your family, and you feel good knowing you're getting better-quality food. The staff was incredibly sweet and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I was looking for boneless chicken, and one of the employees asked if that's what I needed. A few minutes later, he came back with multiple packs in his hands to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I really appreciated it. One thing to know: the produce and meat sections are in two separate, unconnected rooms, so you check out separately in each. And if you're still riding that high from all the money you saved, there's soft-serve ice cream outside with seating -- which just makes the experience even better. For someone who truly despises grocery shopping, this was actually fun. I will absolutely make a special trip to Orlando just to come back here -- and next time, I'm bringing a bigger cooler.

The best place to get the freshest fruit and veggies these days... and AFFORDABLE chicken. I've been a fan and patron of Freshfields Farm since I moved here a few years ago. You can get a pack of chicken thighs for $2 a pound; a pack of fresh herbs for $1.66 each; 4 bunches of parsley for like $3; a HUGE pack of eggs for under $10. And everything is tastier and fresher than most places these days. Also... if you haven't tried the soft serve ice cream sundae... This is a MUST. I love their strawberry sundaes- fresh cut strawberries over a large bowl of vanilla soft serve, served with pieces of waffle bowl. I call it "waffle nachos" because I use the pieces of waffle bowl to scoop up the strawberries and soft serve and eat it like nachos. The whole thing is under $5 and is my favorite ice cream in town. Their $2 hot dogs are pretty decent for a quick bite to eat. The only downside is that they close at 6pm everyday. Weekends get a little packed, but the lines to buy groceries go pretty quickly. There's plenty of parking- I don't think I've ever had an issue finding a space. Overall, my favorite place to shop when I'm able to make it before 6pm! Love it.

Fan of freshfields farm. Wish they brought back the Napa cabbage in produce! Everything is well-stocked and bustling. Prices are fantastic and everything is FRESH.

I have been wanting to come here for years and finally did. Whether you are in the produce or meat section, both makes it as a path that leads you to the check out area. Prices are very decent and can tell the products are fresh. Got to support our locals! Then ended my shopping at their little ice cream stand that is between the areas. Gotten a caramel cup which was a decent size for 4.25 (after tax). I did wish was w bit more ice cream than whipped cream. Yet that is just my own opinion

Everyone comes here for the groceries but I cone here for the strawberry sundaes. Yes it's just a soft serve with a waffle cup, but really it's all about the fresh strawberries with a tartness that cuts through the cream and sweetness of the ice cream. Always quick service and outdoor seating that gets hot on a sunny day. But it's worth it! Pro tip add Oreo crumbles for added texture and flavor

How did I not know if this place before? Freshfields Farm is a GEM! They have farm fresh vegetables and fresh meat for a fraction of the price than other places like Walmart, Target and Publix. The amount of different vegetables and meat is outstanding. After buying your vegetables and meat they have a little ice cream shop that you can pick up a sweet little treat! This place is definitely my new favorite place to go for food!

Huge strawberry shortcake, strawberry shake and my strawberry blind kid.

Do they carry prime beef?

I am almost certain they do not. I believe only Choice grade.

Is it pet friendly?

Hi, Tracy. Thank you for asking! For sanitation reasons, federal regulations prohibit pets in grocery stores. Service animals (trained to perform a specific task) are an exception. More on that here if you're interested:…

I'm moving to Kissimmee end of June and I'm from Mill Valley CA. I'm used to loads of organic markets that carry everything from vitamins to Whole Foods. Is this a good market to shop?

Hi, They just carry fresh foods from meats to fruits and veggies.

Hi!! I just moved to E Orlando from South Carolina. There was an awesome Farmers Market in Columbia that sold "non-alcoholic" Blackberry Cider, which I now seem to be quite addicted to!! Does anyone sell that at your market? Thanks!

Freshfields isn't really a "market" it's local meats and produce! For a speciality like a cider I would try East End Market, the Winter Park farmers market, or the Lake Eola farmers market! Good luck !

What is the temperature inside the market?

Cold enough that I bring a jacket with me every time I shop there.

Do they take EBT?

Yes

However, they have truly embraced the times and stepped up to coordinate one of the most seamless order pick ups with far more options than they can normally house in their store location in collaboration with their local farm suppliers. It was a really great way to get access to local food in a time when innovation is most appreciated as is the ability to access fresh food when the normal grocery stores are overwhelmed with visitors. I will definitely continue to support this great local business that has made things easier in a time when many things are harder. Edit: apparently the store front has closed (unrelatedly- they announced this coming change on January 8th due to a failed lease renewal) but the business is still running through their pick up at 8505 Silver Star Rd and online ordering. The system was actually designed prior to these times and just happened to line up perfectly). This family run business is passionate about improving access to locally grown and more organic foods, and they have done an amazing job.

5 Stars for a farm CSA that has helped level-up my nutrition!…read more I recently signed up for the 4Roots Fresh CSA where I get a box of all-local vegetables and some farm fresh eggs delivered to my house every week. It's a fantastic program and though I love an IRL farmer's market, I don't have the ability to go weekly. The delivery fee is under $10 and so far every week has provided plenty of produce that has challenged me to cook more and eat healthy, farm fresh veggies! Highly recommend checking out their CSA program and trying it out. You can skip weeks, cancel, add one-time items (like amish butter!!), etc very easily from the website.

Plus its fun! 4Roots Farm came across my IG feed and immediately, yes, had to visit. It is located on John Young Pkwy, off of E. Colonial Dr. There is plenty of parking. It is so pretty. As soon as you drive up you can see all the different types of flowers planted and growing along the driveway. Zinnias, dahlias, sunflowers & marigolds. As you walk up towards the vendors there are many more flowers, herbs and trees planted. There are flower, juice, tea, mango vendorsand the farm stand outside. The farm stand has lettuce! So happy to see lettuce. Peppers of every kind, mellow star shishito, poblano, cubanelle, jalapeño. There were not much tomatoes. But there was squash, ginger, potatoes, a variety of mushrooms, okra & green beans. Inside, in there class rooms there are food vendors, sweet things like marshmallow treats, jams, honey, spices, sourdough bread. They have jewelry & other knick knacks. They hold classes where they teach gardening & eating anti-inflammatory, creating moss balls. I was gifted a chocolate mint plant and a giant branch of Hawaiian Molokai purple sweet potato to plant. It's a pretty place to wonder & wander.

The quality of the fruits are that of your local farmers market being relatively high quality. Most of the stores nonperishable items feature many Caribbean/Hispanic products. The shelves are very organize and the store overall is squeaky clean with shiny new tile flooring. They also have a bakery, deli, frozen foods, and seafood area.
