Pardon my language, if you will, but there's an awful lot of crap that goes with the computer repair market. Being a bit of a computer geek myself, I feel safe in saying that there is a thick and detestable vein of nerdcore snobbery that runs through a lot of the people in the PC retail and repair market. Forgive my generalisations here, but it's almost like they got picked on at school and are getting their vengeance by belittling folk who require their professional assistance. Their little vengeance is carried out with mocking chuckles, and eye rolls, and overcharging for a simple, yet ridiculously delayed procedure.
In short, they are the mechanics of the 21st century.
Uhm, I realise that mechanics are still the mechanics of the 21st century, but my point has less weight if I point that out. So if you could just ignore that fact, and this little paragraph explaining this, we'll get along just fine. Cheers.
Anyway. Happily, Fresh Telecoms does away with this. Situated in the heart of studentville (ahhh, Crwys, you grimy, scummy, lovely little suburb, you), the company scores points for being friendlier, cheaper, quicker and just generally far more professional than any other computer repair business in the city. Case in point: when my laptop screen broke, I sent an e-mail to the offical customer service line of the company. They said send it back and for £200 I could have it fixed. Wow. These guys did the same size, same spec screen for £90, in two days. So, yeah. Fresh for president. read more
