This Asian grocery store has a wide variety of fresh goods and frozen goods. I was looking for some dumpling wraps, they do sell those along with wonton wraps. They have a huge selection of noodles. The prices are as expected for a small local business. They are reasonable. The staff there was nice! The store is clean. Do you bring cash! If you do pay with card, it has to be a $10 minimum. This place is awesome! I go here for a few favorite items, I love the Red Bean ice cream, the siracha (or Thai pepper garlic paste, the Mochi balls and other assorted candies. Try the Hi-Chew if you get a chance! The grape ones are awesome!! You can use a credit card but keep in mind you need to purchase at least $20.00 in items. The place is never really busy so I'm sure the transaction fees would be killer if they took them for every 1.00 sale! The people that work here are super friendly! Hallelujah there's an oriental grocery in NWI! I love this place. I can find everything I need with only one or two exceptions.. but frankly, I can find Galangal Root and Lemon Grass and Kefir Lime Leaves which are impossible to find in Chicago. A great selection of mushrooms and greens, noodles and dim-sum goodies. They have BBQ Pork and Duck on FRIDAYS ONLY, but will reserve it for you if you call ahead. Alan, the manager is friendly and will bend over backwards to makes sure he has in stock whatever you are looking for. Make sure you get a coconut Popsicle from the freezer. Just recently found out about this place and love the wide variety of curry sauces, seasonings/herbs, sweets, dried and fresh foods! I am also a big fan of the kimchi they carry since it is not too hot and I plan on going back for their quail eggs to start eating raw as well as pickled once I get the system down. Now there is no need to make as many trips to Chinatown. Check this place out for sure! read more
