Georgetti Construction is an incompetent builder. He is expensive, unethical, lacks adequate…read moreconstruction knowledge, and hires contractors that do whatever they want however they want. He does not stand behind any of his work. He gave us a list of the contractors he used and tells us to call them. None of them work for Georgetti very long, say they will not work for him again, and they tell us to call Georgetti. Many of the contractors he hires have gone out of business. We have been in our house now 6 years and we have had water problems, roof problems, electrical problems, water leaks, heat problems, air conditioning problems, deck problems, mechanical problems, and plumbing problems - many, many plumbing problems - PVC pipe joints that were never glued. We had specified all high-end Moen fixtures and have had to call Moen over a dozen times because there were missing or improper parts in the fixtures. (Moen has been great and has always sent new parts even though they were never the cause of problem.) When problems were identified to Georgetti his response was first "call his contractor" and then "it's not in my budget". Even after living here for 6 years we are still finding problems caused by very bad workmanship. Strongly recommend you hire a different builder - you can't do much worse than Georgetti.

I had have 10 Andersen windows installed previously, some Woodwright which I stained and some 400…read moreseries which I painted to match woodwork. All replacement. Matera installed some of them. Salesman this time upsold me new construction windows and I was leaving in a few days for a month so I wanted ot get them ordered. I painted them prior to installation. The installation was horrific - tiny cracks in the plaster now large requiring patching, pieces of plaster ripped off the wall requiring patching and painting entire walls. But the worst was the excessive and beyond shoddy caulking. I've never seen caulking so poorly done. Matera Bldrs.had completely redone my kitchen 9 years ago and the work, including caulking was excellent. This was appaling. I sent photos to Bob and he tried to defend work he knew was indefensible. He sent someone to try to fix some of the caulk but it was no better and I sent photos to Bob again. My woodwork is a different color then the walls and now there were no right angles, making painting sloppy. Bob and workers acknowledge that I am a good painter but this was impossble. Bob did discount the work some and did eventually apologize but that didn't help what was fairly pristine before the installation. They treated my $13,000 investment casually and carelessly.
