We have been customers of Fresh Harvest for over a year now, and we've been nothing but pleased with the products, service and experience here. We have tried a couple of other meal services but found the portions to be too small for the price. Additionally, there was a lot of waste from all the packaging that was used. Fresh Harvest uses plastic bins (baskets) which are durable and can be reused. Even the ice packs and insulation panels inside the bins can be reused. Each week we just leave the bins and other materials out on our porch, and the delivery driver picks up everything when he leaves the new bins. When packaging is used inside the bins, it is usually with paper bags. If you don't want any plastic used at all, they're very accommodating with this as well. We have learned about all sorts of produce and other products that we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. It feels good to know that we are also supporting a sustainable food culture here in Georgia. I'm sure we will continue to be customers of Fresh Harvest for years to come. read more

It feels really good to support local farmers and even better to have most of my vegetable haul delivered to my door. The fruit has been like candy, the vegetables are delicious without any seasoning and it's so convenient to be able to customize boxes. Disappointed. I signed up for the small basket of vegetables and fruit, and I've been extremely disappointed in the choices. The fruits are basically winter fruits, apples, pears, oranges (including some from Peru) and bananas, even in the middle of summer. The vegetable choices have been very limited. My current choices include lettuces, carrots, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, peppers, and herbs. The only other green vegetables are kale and collards. This is my fourth week, and it's been almost the exact same choices every single week. Where is the variety of summer vegetables?? I don't understand why the larger baskets have additional vegetable choices that are not offered to the smaller baskets. You would think they would all be offered the same variety, with the exception of quantity. Unfortunately, that's not the way it works. For $32, it is not working for me. I've used another CSA, which I find to be more cost effective and have a much greater variety of vegetables. read more

Fresh Harvest is awesome. 1. It comes to my front door. All I have to do is open my door, walk to my kitchen and unload. It's practically a miracle. 2. It comes on Wednesday, which is inevitably when I've run out of food from my weekend grocery store run and am debating just giving up on the whole vegetable thing and ordering pizza. 3. Thanks to Fresh Harvest, I've tried a lot of new veggies and found that almost everything tastes delicious with avo oil, garlic powder, onion powder, S&P. 4. I joined Fresh Harvest as a subscriber at the beginning of the pandemic as a way to access fresh vegetables and meat and support local farmers. We have been more than pleased with everything we've purchased. We've been happy FH customers for quite a while now and have been very happy with the produce we receive each week (we get the Georgia Grown basket). Can't recommend Fresh Harvest enough! We have loved getting fresh organic and local produce for months, and it's like Christmas morning every delivery day. It's so fun! We like supporting a local small business and our region's farmers, plus the produce tastes better than anything you can get at grocery stores. Sure, you can go to farmers markets on weekends, but FH makes it so easy and brings everything to your doorstep, and ordering is so fast/easy every week. Beyond produce, their selection of locally made/raised goods is great. We love to add additional items like fish, meat, pantry items, flowers, Stop Think Chew meals, etc, and it's awesome that we can substitute items in our basket each week and pause our delivery when we're traveling. We've recommended probably 10+ people to join and all are super happy with it. One last thing - they're incredible about supporting the local community in Clarkston through jobs and donations; and when traveling, you can donate your weekly box, which I think is fabulous. The convenience of having fresh, local, organic vegetables delivered to your door is amazing.
