Well amazing very informative. Very interesting. We had great family time : picking up starfruits which are way delicious than in grocery store. Our guide Bob is a great friendly person. All tour we were escorted with 4 dogs which are family ( mom dad and 2 sons) very friendly dogs. We build great memories for a lifetime. In the end of the tour Bob gave as a bag to pick up fruit , price including in ticket price!!!

I felt I had to add a review reading some of the others. This was simple and authentic. The groupon was $12 for two people- so to the people below crying it was a waste of their money are either the cheapest people that ever existed or are just high maintenance. The guy who gave the tour was so nice and informative. It is a small scale farm but that just makes you appreciate it even more, it isnt some corporate run huge farm- this is the kind of local farm that grows crops that are sold locally and work directly with markets. Leaving the city and experiencing this was a very nice change for a Saturday morning, I would recommend it to anyone, especially when tropical fruits are in season during the early summer months. The fruit given at the end were perfect too! You can also go back after the tour and pick fruit for a few bucks a pound.

Exotic fruits for tasting!

We bought a living social deal for a tour of the farm. My husband and I took my daughter and her friend. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a welcome table with a spread of exotic fruits to taste. Farmer Bob was very welcoming ,taking his time to tell us about all the trees on his farm, injecting a little humor from time to time to keep the group entertained. We look forward to trying the items in the fruit box we got to take home. We enjoyed this experience and would recommend it.

Jackfruit!

I went on a tour this morning with my fiance. I noticed some of the harsh comments on Yelp, but couldn't disagree more with them. For starters, the roaming dogs on the property were one of my favorite things about the tour. They are rescues that were left behind when FL experienced hurricanes a few years back. They are the sweetest dogs, and follow you the entire tour without bothering you. Farmer Bob himself was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. We picked fresh fruits off the trees, which were delicious, and took 2 bags of fresh picked fruit with us. If you want to complain about the heat and mosquitos, maybe FL isn't the place for you. The tour was truly raw and unfiltered. No frills, just educationally fulfilling. As a FL native myself, I always appreciate learning what's in my own backyard. Thanks again, Farmer Bob. We had a truly great experience.

Dragonfruit, 2 types of guava and heart's of palm!!!!

We went on this garden tour over the weekend with our Living social coupon. What a fantastic deal!!! We toured this 5 acre farm of exotic fruits for about an hour and Farmer Bob gave a wonderful informative tour. He showed us pictures of what the farm looked like in 1998 when they acquired the land, and the grounds were pretty empty. What he and his family has accomplished in just 14 years is amazing, considering they had a few hurricanes that set them back. The farm is lush and beautiful with an assortment of amazing exotic fruits. When the tour was over we received a wonderful basket with 2 types of guava, dragon fruits, and hearts of palm. I had never had fresh hearts of palm (not the usual in a can and pickled) and did a stir fry as suggested and it was absolutely amazing. Also he offered u-pick of the fruits in season, after the tour was over I got a bag full of starfruits for only $2. I went home that night and again with Bob's suggestion I cut the star fruit in thick slices and grilled them and served it with salmon. I suggest anyone to take the tour of this farm, it is well worth it.

If you live in the area I would definitely recommend doing it once. You will learn some things on farming business in the Redlands, and also maybe see some trees you've never heard of before. We got a pretty good box of fruit (carambola, green papaya, dragonfruit and mamey) since this was the lowest season.

I purchased a voucher from LivingSocial.com. I will admit, when I got there, it wasn't exactly what I expected. It is not a farm, it is Bob's land where he grows his own trees. Yes, they have 5 very aggressive rescue dogs on the property, but once you get out of your vehicle, they lick you, jump on you, and smell you. They are like guard dogs. Farmer Bob was so polite and was nice enough to come and get my husband, kids and myself out of the car once he got there because we were too afraid to get out due to the dogs. He introduced us to many different fruits and was very knowledgeable about his craft. Just a word of advice, it is a walking tour, so come in sneakers, and pack lots of repellent. There are a lot of sandflies and mosquitoes out there due to the fruit. I came in a long dress and a pretty high pair of slippers. You may not want to bring young kids out there though as my 6 year old complained the minute we began the tour and I had to take him to the car halfway through it, and so I missed out on quite a bit. My only advice to Farmer Bob would be to do something about the dogs, because there is no telling how they may react to certain people. Just chain them up so that way everyone feels comfortable and safe when exiting their vehicles, and so that we do not have to worry about stepping in dog poop throughout the tour. Please do not drive into the property, just park to the left of the gate and wait inside your vehicle until Bob arrives and he will gladly come get you. We learned so much about the trees and fruits. At the end of the tour, Bob gives you some of his fruits in a bag (not a basket like LivingSocial.com says), along with some literature. My fruit was rotten, which made me really disappointed because they were fruits I really liked. It was a nice experience overall.

She brought ponchos so we could continue on as it rained. It was beautiful to learn about and see this neighborhood through the eyes of someone who grew up here. Toni knows so much history and seemed to know so many of the people, too! The tour has so much food - I was honestly more than full at the end and I didn't even finish all of my portions. I think it was a really good range of drinks, desserts, and food. Even though that coffee cup looks small, that's a full serving size and it was strong! I really really appreciate that this tour not only accommodated for vegetarians but also chose options for me that were realllllly good. Instead of the cubano, I had these fried plantain cups stuffed with veggies. They were SO good and seasoned well! And the spinach and cheese empanada was also amazing. My friend who got the meat options also loved her food. This tour is the perfect way to learn more about Cuban history, the history of the neighborhood, see all the street art, watch a game at domino park, and experience some of the best food in Miami. I cannot recommend this enough!!!

The time went by so quickly and it wouldn't have been the same experience without Mariela as our guide. She is so passionate and knowledgeable. Her energy was so upbeat. I think this a great tour for visitors who want to learn about a culture that shapes Miami as well as locals who want to learn about a neighborhood they may not know the ins and outs of. Mariels brought Cuba to us and we can't thank her enough! We highly recommend this tour!

Our group met up with our tour guide Anthony at El Camino in Pineapple Grove. We were given a short introduction and sat down to our first tasting starting with Margaritas, Home Made Chips with Red and Green Salsa and Brisket Quesadillas. What a great way to start the fun. Next stop was a real surprise, an Asian Street Food location off the beaten path called Goodies. We sampled a delicious fruit tea and a new item to me JianBing, an Asian chicken burrito with a crunch which made the taste and texture exceptional. We actually watched the chef create this on a crepe maker! (see video) This is a great affordable lunch stop in Delray! Next stop, Beer Trade company very conveniently located next door to Goodies. Everyone was offered a beer of their choice from a HUGE selection in the cold case and on tap. It all started in Maryland so Old Bay was a great addition to their Honey Old Bay wings recipe marinated in what else BEER. They were crispy and sweet with quite a kick! We also sampled the risotto balls - yummy! We walked a few blocks to stop #4 Death by Pizza! The owner Koby greeted us and gave us some background of this Detroit style pizza company which has become a very popular location two blocks off Atlantic. What a treat! This business is take-out only so we stood outside and sampled a square thick crispy crust slice topped with amazing cheese and tomato sauce known as The Enemy! I can see why..i gained a pound in the sampling but boy was it worth it!! Sadly one last stop, (i was FULL but having way too much fun) @ Dekes Coffee. Nico, a young visionary, gave us a full explanation of the coffee making process as we sampled an affogato, espresso shot over a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If you like strong unsweetened coffee, this is your coffee shop. From coffee plant to green coffee beans to the roasting process, we saw it all. Unfortunately, I don't remember where the coffee beans originated in our espresso affogato, however Nico spoke of Ethiopian coffee as one they serve often. I would highly recommend this tour as a chance to sample some great independent restaurants in Delray. Our group seemed to be most impressed with the gems we found off the beaten path. We first had bachata lesson at 8pm, followed by complimentary mojito and Cuban bites, then wrapped up with salsa lesson at 9:20pm. I wished salsa lesson was a full hour, followed by more fun salsa dancing with instructor dancing alongside (you know, cuz regular student folks won't keep dancing salsa on their own without pros' boosting presence) because afterwards everyone pretty much stopped dancing salsa after the last song after lesson ended.
