We had bought a second-hand sofa from eBay and the cushions were so worn down that it was no longer…read morecomfortable to sit down. I had a brain-storm of having the cushions re-filled with new foam, so it was just a matter of finding somewhere that specialised in foam. We gave J&A a bell, they told us to bring one of the cushions down, which we did. They measured the old cushion and then gave us the option of two different kinds of foam-filling, we opted for the more expensive as it would last a lot longer. We returned in an hour and the new foam was ready and cut perfectly well. They had already fitted the filling into the cushion cover and gave us the other to fit into the one at home. The price was very reasonable, £38 for both cushions and the sofa was great to sit on at last. I would definitely recommend re-filling if you're beginning to slouch in your sofa.

The store stocks antique furniture, most of which is downstairs in the basement in various states of repair. The idea is that you choose your furniture and then look through their extensive pattern books for fabric. The furniture repaired, reupholstered and ready for you to collect. They can also reupholster your own furniture and provide bespoke curtains to match. Or you can go for the whole shebang and opt for a full interior design service.
