First of all, I had a very hard time arranging the clean in the first place. Never got a call back when they said they would, then informed me that they would not be able to do the clean on the day arranged 2 weeks previously after all. When the two cleaner eventually turned up I was very disappointed with the standards. The cleaners were asked to pay particular attention to cleaning skirting boards and harder to reach areas, but I'm not sure that this was really done at all. There were quite a lot of smears on surfaces where dust had clearly been dragged around with a wet cloth. They hadn't even bothered with areas like under the handles of the kitchen cupboards or to hoover under the bed! Having paid £56 for 4 hours work I would really have expected a better standard, especially considering that the house was not exactly filthy to start with. I specifically commissioned the job because I have a small baby and did not feel that I would have been able to get the house to a standard of cleansiness that you would expect from a professional cleaning company by myself whilst looking after baby. As it happened I spent all the followig morning re-cleaning everything. I had on a previous occasion commissioned 2 hours' cleaning and I didn't feel like much more than this was done in 4 hours. All amateurish at best. To top it all off, I e-mailed to complain 2 weeks ago and never heard anything back. The only recommendation I would give about Monton Cleaning Services is to AVOID! The previous (very good) review appears to be several years old and when I commissioned them the first time about 2 years ago I would have agreed but things seem to have gone very very bad. I basically gave them £56 only to have to do my own cleaning the next day anyway. Very very poor.

The following day on their way home after work they were here to measure up. By Tuesday I had a quote. Today is Friday, it is exactly 1 week since Mal and Gary came to measure up and I have sparkly clean new guttering. The company falsley claimed to be registered with professional bodies. Money was demanded for work that had not been done. Work undertaken was of very poor quality. The serious allegations against Mersey Builders was upheld. The company was fined. Our experience of Dee Windows was totally negative. We accepted their quote to replace a bedroom…read morewindow and window sill in April 2018. We didn't get the paperwork for the work until September which we returned with the deposit they asked for. The subsequently contacted us and asked for an additional payment saying that the window sill was not included in the original quote. We asked them to check the paperwork which they did and confirmed that it was included. They came out in October and made a judgement call not to carry out the work because of the severe weather and we rearranged for a few days later. They did not turn up for this and did not contact us to say why. We chased this up and were told that the office manager would get back to us but he didn't. The following day we received a brief letter from Dee Windows saying that they had returned our deposit. This is a quote from the letter: "We do not wish to carry out the window replacement for you." No explanation was given.

The quality of the windows is very good and the fitting was quick and efficient. They did crack a pane during fitting the bathroom window but they apologised and fitted a new pane a week or so later. We have recommended them to others as our experience was a very good one and five or six years later, the windows are performing well and not showing any signs of degredation.
