When I say HVAC issues, that means to clean up problems which other HVAC companies couldn't fix or created. If I had known of Air Serv from the start, I would have hired them on the spot. If possible, I would give them 10 stars out of 5. The reason I would recommend them is for the following reasons. This company runs like a well oiled machine. The office staff is good at communicating and answering questions when needed and always returns your calls They are polite and courtesy. If there is a problem that others have told you is unsolvable, Nick from Aire Serv will come over and lay out solutions and options to fix the issue. He will conduct comprehensive tests to verify that everything is correct. Then he will guide his workers like Kevin, Dennis, and Cameron to implement the solution that he came up with. These workers are very knowledgeable, clean, and polite. They take so much pride in their work that they forget to take a break and eat. While they are correcting the issues caused by others, if they find another problem that may be dangerous, they fix it; for example pipe is loose and not supported well, leak in the exhaust pipe, etc. At the end of their work day they cleanup flawlessly. I am embarrassed to say that they left the work work area in cleaner and better shape than before the job was started. Also, these workers know every single thing about the HVAC system, and what each component does. The reason I am saying this is becauseI have come across other companies previous to this company that thought the motherboard, thermostat, etc were bad, which was incorrect diagnosis. When you describe to these workers the issue, they know exactly where the issue is and fix it. Raj

TLDR; Condo inspector missed a crucial issue, could have cost (or indicated) tens of thousands of…read moredollars in damage, no responsibility taken. When you buy a condo, there are a few things in it that you would be expecting to use on an almost daily basis. Things like the washer, the dryer or the dishwasher. One would think that when you hire a company to do a $500 "Ultimate Condo Inspection", they would take these things into consideration, and spend a few minutes during their inspection to test. Well, not so with Pillar to Posts.  My mom used them to check out a condo that she was getting ready to buy. After closing the deal and moving into her new condo, she ran the first load of dishes. Within a few minutes, a noticeable amount of water began leaking from the bottom of the dishwasher and into the kitchen.  It immediately freaked her out, so she called me for assistance. Best case scenario, around $500-$1,000 to replace the dishwasher. Worst case scenario, tens of thousands of dollars in potential water damage to the unit or the units below over the last number of years. When you hire a professional to perform a home inspection, especially an "Ultimate Home Inspection", you'd expect them to stand behind their work, wouldn't you? With Pillar to Posts, this was not the case. We waited days between responses regarding the issue - even though it could have been a mistake indicating tens of thousands of dollars of damage. Even after multiple back and forths clearly stating that we wanted them to rectify the issue, they would not accept any responsibility for it. Their responses to this issue varied from "We only do a quick on/off test as a courtesy to you", "It's in the fine print that we're not required to test them", "Our inspection is not a warranty of any kind" to it was outside the scope of my inspection and even if I had checked it it may not have leaked for me". To the business, I would suggest updating your guidelines to spending an extra 10 minutes to test any water-connected appliances. To conclude, I would think twice before trusting this company with the inspection of your new home. If they miss a crucial part of the inspection, it could cost you tens of thousands of dollars without recourse from them.
