I knew it was time to replace it on my schedule rather than it going out in the middle of summer. I called three companies, including American Family (AF), and two of them came in at a much higher cost. I decided to use AF not because of the price difference but because of dealing with Erica. Erica answered all my questions, even the dumb ones, and made me feel comfortable to ultimately pick AF. Erica gave me an estimate over the phone and said Paul would come out the next day. The price quoted on the phone was spot on and I didn't pay a dime extra. Paul came out the next day to look at my HVAC to ensure he would have everything he needed to start the job. Paul explained everything he was going to do while educating me on my own setup. On the day of the installation, Paul was on time and had a surprise for me. The gas furnace I was supposed to have installed wasn't in stock and I was scheduled for installation the next day. Paul managed to get an upgraded furnace at no cost due to the mix-up. A less reputable company could have kept the upgraded unit, made a quick buck, and rescheduled my appointment. Paul completed the job quickly, efficiently, and didn't waste time. The HVAC system has been working great and is much better than the one I had before. I plan on using AF again for any HVAC issues that may creep up. AF is professional, friendly, and the quality of work is outstanding. AF is a small company that deserves our business. I can't recommend them enough. Thanks guys!

Had them give me a quote on another system for our barn during covid but ultimately went with another vendor quote (and that system has been problem free). Apparently we are close enough to sell AC systems but they don't want to service us or they are butt hurt that I didn't accept last quote. You have been warned. Comment on the response: Erica's response doesn't make sense - they show service to the area on the website, they have never raised any issue of "safety" at our house and doesn't excuse blocking the number of a customer who has always been polite and paid bills promptly.

Used their maintenance plan and spent almost $2000 over that period. Some people may think that's too much to spend over two years but my A/C VAC was 25 years old! Of course I kept up my end by nurturing/cleaning our unit as much as I could. I loved the techs that did the semi annual checks. They remarked at how clean the system was. We did some minor replacements on parts but again at that age more things could go wrong. The office people were always superb and professional. We sold our beautiful home in the summer of '16 with that 25 year old system doing its job well. I know without ICE's partnership, I couldn't have done that well.

Very professional reception/scheduling office when I called to set up an inspection. 2. Derek and Chris showed up at my house ONTIME and did a full inspection of my AC and Heat system. They checked the coolant levels and basically told me that everything looked fine. The reason my upstairs bedroom was not cooling off on hot days is because I do not have an attic fan in my attic. They could have tried to sell me a flurry of BS things to cool the bedroom but instead they gave me solid professional advice and ways to get the most out of my AC until I have an attic fan installed. Derek was very comfortable with me asking questions and always had a direct and confident response. He told me about their annual service plan that I could purchase and the features it came with but not in a doom and gloom "salesy" way. I declined it, I might consider it after the summer. These guys are pros. I will be using them if I need this type of work again.
