Always seems to be quiet in this store, not the largest around, but always neat and tidy, and you can shop the items easily which is nice. Always good value for money in here, yes you can come across the cheap stuff with dodgy cuts and fits, but multibuy savings and sale items are always great in here, and well worth a look!

The location consists of multiple stories, with each section having a dedicated clearance section. All prices are clearly marked, and include taxes (which somewhat compensated for the prices being in pounds). My wife got a good deal for a blouse (5 quid), that she wore multiple times on our cruise. Going on a multi-day cruise with just carry-on luggage (allowing us to be nimble as we explore), means only light weight clothing that is easy to handwash/air dry. TK Maxx (just like its sibling Marshalls/TJMaxx in the States) is great place to pick up heavily discounted clothes that fit that bill. It's also fun to see what fashion and brands a foreign country is selling...in this case, it was similar to what we are able to find in the States (along with similar prices). It was a self checkout and we had no issues using our US bank issued card. Learning: TJK changed the name to TK Maxx to avoid confusion with a British retailed called T.J. Hughes.

This topman is a bit dated, the store however is on the corner of the above bar entrance to west quay so i guess the location counts for more. It can be really really crowded on sat and sundays so best to get there during the week if you can. Staff are generally friendly and polite, then can get stressed though and sometimes lack customer service - as most places do.

We decided to try but it soon became clear that was our mistake. They weren't that tasty. The food seemed air fryer cooked, dry, near tasteless and not a good eat really, so real fish & chip shops have no fear of this competition. This is food passable for old folks homes. We didn't have to wait long for the food but here again the server had no tartare sauce to offer (apparently a supply issue) but it was readily available in store just a mere few feet away. £18 for rubbish food. The tomato ketchup, vinegar pouches and salt were seemingly rationed. I asked for some more and some more was handed over, piecemeal. I gave up. Is it a lack of training? Who knows. Then I tried to open the sauce pouches and ended up asking a staff bloke to do it. He struggled but succeeded. I am really annoyed as this is not acceptable.

There was reasonably priced food, wifi, and I could get a little shopping in. This was 15 years ago. Glad to see 15 years later, this mall is still kicking, and they have really built up this area a lot more. They still have a nice mix of stores, although some of their kiosks are gone, like their Whittard's kiosk. The food court wasn't bad, although I did notice a couple places were empty. There is still wifi, although that's less of an issue now. And they still have the M&S, thankfully. If you're going on a cruise, and have some time to kill, I think this mall is a great stop, especially considering there are other things in the area too if you get bored with the mall. There is another mall in the area, but that one is a little more empty, whereas West Quay still seems to have a crowd.

Maybe we were all just escaping the rain that day. Westquay was very clean and they had a nice assortment of stores. My wife's favorite store was Marks & Spencer. This large department store had some good deals. My favorite shop was located on the second floor (I believe). Actually, it was more like a large kiosk. One girl was manning the place. It was called Continental Bakery, and the selection of baked goods was fantastic. I ordered a couple of Pastel De Nata which tasted excellent!! Very good price points also! Wish I had bought some other stuff while we were there. Anyways, visiting the Westquay Shopping Centre is a "Must do" when in Southampton. I noticed that there is also a Nando's Restaurant upstairs in the food area which I'll have to go to next time also.

Jannaways is a unique shop. It's well worth a visit over Christmas and Easter as it sells the most…read moredelightful ornaments ever. It is difficult to explain the style - it has an almost quaker feel to it - colour washed goods and small pieces of furniture (mostly for the kitchen). It also sells retro items, authentic-looking 50s style goods, distressed items etc. plus cards and jewellery and different knick-knacks. If you have a cottage kitchen (or if that's your preferred style) then this place is worth going to. I don't know where their stock is sourced from but I have never come across them in any other shops so it's also ideal if you want to get something different for someone. The prices are really reasonable - especially as distressed items and retro items seem to be a la mode and, therefore, have a high price tag to match.

I like next, some of their clothing is really good quality, plenty of items in stock this summer just gone, and no matter which store you go to in any city, it's always consistent really, offering the same throughout. This store is nice and large and offers all womens and mens range as well as little ones. Only thing i dont like, is the annoying catalogue person on the door asking you to join up and pay for a catalogue each time i go it, bin it next, and move on to the NEXT one!

I like the way it is laid out with the children's department on the ground floor with the womans wear. The home department could do with being a bit bigger as it seems very small for the size of the store. It is very clean and is spacious. The staff always seem to be working very hard to keep the cutomers happy and they are always very friendly and helpful.
