Way back in 2010 I was perhaps a little harsh on this branch of TK Maxx. I think that sifting…read morethrough clothes is the reason that people shop at TK Maxx, they enjoy the excitement and the possibility of getting a real bargain. Sifting isn't actually too bad at this TK Maxx as the staff keep the rails in pretty good order. Belfast now has plenty of fashion outlets but it doesn't have much similar to TK Maxx. This store is huge and set over 3 floors. It has a woman's section, kids section, men's section and even a dedicated jewelry counter. My advice would be that if you are looking for something specific then come to TK Maxx and see if they have it in store, you could save yourself a few quid.

So I'm not strictly required to ever go into Dorothy Perkins but I have been in on a number of occassions and found it to be completely ok. This is one of the many Dorothy Perkins about and is one of the most popular. It is modern, well thought out and the staff are lovely. A friend of mine used to work in here and she loved it. But from time to time there can be bad queues, but that just depends on the time of day and year I guess. All in all you wont go wrong if you are a girl and you want to get clothes for work but don't expect to be the most modern and fashionable place in town.

As I have said in other reviews, I am not a girl and so I have very little need to go into Miss Selfridge but I do have sisters and I have had/do have a girlfriend who likes to wear clothes and therefore I have been dragged into this shop on a number of occassions and found it to be a pretty forgettable experience if I'm honest. The clothes themselves are nice enough and they have some nice up to date styles and fashions. The prices are a little bit higher than the rest of the high street but thats ok. The staff were dead on enough but not world beating by any means.

Miss Selfridges do a great line in professional looking workwear, clothes, shirts, shoes and coats. They do stock some really nice quirky tops and dresses and I've certainly bought my fair share of their clothes down through the years. I'm a real fans of their shoes, some of which are really cool. Prices are moderate, but I'd recommended popping in when their sales on. Staff here are always pretty cheery, well dressed and would be happy to help you out.

I have reviewed one other TK Maxx but that store is really nothing compared to this SUPER-store…read more This TK Maxx is not only huge but jam-packed with bargains for every type of bargain hunter. In particular, their home and soft furnishings department is brilliant for new students trying to make their student crib a little more homely or even for key pieces to refresh a tired living or bed room. Like all TK Maxx stores, the half hazard layout can stress customers out with no-one really sure where they're going or what exactly they're searching for. However, that's what the staff are there for, and are usually on hand to help with general enquiries about stock or the store. This store is very well kept with clean surfaces, floors and till points. Just a general word of warning, make sure you try garments on or at least check the returns policy as I have been out of pocket recently through a 'school-girl' error of being outside the return/exchange date. So, frustrating!

This particular store is relatively big with a great range of stock for a variety of tastes. Matalan fashion is usually promoted in magazines, with customers seeing key pieces and rushing for their nearest stores to grab them. My advice especially with store, ring before you head down to purchase that amazing jumpsuit or winter coat as they usually have been bought up as soon as they arrive in store! It's such a pity that Matalan proves so popular. However, if you're the customer that manages to grab the bargain, it's a great reward! The store is well presented with each department being easily located. As well as this, each age range and clothing choice is separated so you know exactly where an item is placed and so can go directly to get it. The staff are friendly and on a recent trip, one girl in particular went out of her way to try and find a skirt I had seen in a recent glossy magazine. It's that little extra effort that is really appreciated by customers and has us coming back for more!

Now my mum and sister swear by Matalan. For those unaware of what category this shop plumps into,…read moreit would be like an expensive Primark. The clothes are cheaper than designer shops but more expensive than cheap shops. So for me it kind of is stuck somewhere on the fence. It is not "fancy enough" to be one of those shops that you go to for "meeting the parents" dinner clothes, but it is not cheap enough for the "going on holidays so chances are the clothes will either be covered in suncream or sand or alcohol". It's a bit of a nothing clothes shop. This store has been redesigned to give men's clothing almost an entire floor upstairs but for me it's just a bit of a bland store. But my mum and my sister swear by it so maybe it's more of a women's store than mens.
