The hygienist replied, "Oh, she is too stressful for being here." It was incredibly offensive and upsetting. * Dismissive Care: The dentist stated a lower front tooth needed extraction due to inflammation, though I feel no pain. When I asked about replacement options, he refused to answer and said I had to book a completely separate appointment just to come in to discuss the options. At 8:16 that morning, the office texted asking if I could come at 9:40 instead. I didn't see the message until 10:30 and asked whether I could still come at noon. We ultimately rescheduled for Tuesday at 3:30, which they confirmed by text. I canceled two other appointments to make it. When I arrived, the doctor asked why I hadn't been there yesterday, which suggested the scheduling change hadn't been communicated internally. After examining my tooth and taking X-rays, she mentioned possible temporary bonding and said someone would explain the next steps after checking my insurance. An assistant then told me I needed another appointment because the doctor didn't have enough time for treatment that day. No one had explained when booking that this visit would be for evaluation only. I understand that treatment depends on the exam and can't always be completed during the first visit. My frustration is with the lack of communication and being told, after rearranging my schedule, that there wasn't enough time. The doctor never returned to explain this herself. The manager did offer to check whether another doctor could help, which I appreciated. However, by then it was around 4:15-4:20, and I chose to leave rather than wait longer without knowing whether treatment would be possible.
