Food is exceptional. Yeah, I have some moral qualms about foie gras...but the creamy, velvety, goose butter scraped over some nicely charred bread is a dish one must try here. My son ordered a ham hock dish--amazed to have something people at home use to flavor greens made into a signature-level dish...falling off the bone, tender as can be, perfectly seasoned. I had the baeckoffe (like a casserole), which was also delectable, but I remain envious of that ham!
Ambience is beautiful. The interior has an old world, classic feel. Outside is the usual European patio right next the the bustling sidewalk...the essence of relaxation.
Service is fantastic. Helpful and knowledgeable.
When I make it back to Colmar, I'll be making another visit.
