I talked to a lady representative in West Covina or Covina office. She gave me lowest price that was more than $100 per month. It was from a no name company called Stonewall Insurance. The coverage was 15k/30k/10K. That was the best they could offer me. I informed her that I had received a Progressive quote for less than $60 per month for 100k/300k/100k and same amount for under/uninsured motorist coverage. The representative kept saying that was the best she could give me because it is CA. I informed her that the quote I received was also from CA. I was in need of auto insurance and Juan Carlos was so pleasent so knowledgeable and has a great personality, I needed him to contact the DMV to provide my info and see if they could release a hold on my car as AAA told me it would take 3 to 5 days, Juan Carlos called the DMV and was able to get the suspension removed, he save me 5 days of impound fees . This day and age customer service is not like it was back in the day so and Farmers Insurance better hold on to this employee because he is a great reflection of the company. I had a bad experience with other insurance companies. Brandon seemed like he was there to help. He said that my insurance will be $400 cheaper after the first six months but he never said it was because there is a $395 broker fee. Brandon turned out to be just as bad as the other insurance brokers. He told me a lower rate to get me to come back. Then, added the extra fee without telling me. This is a horrible insurance company. First of all, I paid a parcel payment on my deposit , I spoke to my agent early last week, and I told her that when I got paid this week, l would pay on my deposit. I was expecting another income to come through, but it didn't work out. So when she called me again, I let her know my second income was not as much as I expected. I also came down with covid, so I was not able to work. I asked her if it was okay to pay the rest of the deposit when I got paid from my job. She Said sure we will work with you. I started getting several phone calls a day, and I explained I'm not working right now, then I get a phone call saying this is so and so from corporate office, if you don't have the money by 12:00 midnight last Friday approximately, your policy will be canceled. I got another phone call today. We need the rest of your deposit. Sounded like the same guy who threatened me. I'm not going to give out the day I get paid, but it was only 5 days from when I spoke to my agent. I still have not been paid by my job. When he called me today ( same guy), he was rude and didn't allow me to get a word in edge wise. He did say, "I know you're sick, but..... I told him to go ahead and cancel my policy then. I truly dislike when people act like they are there to help you. They waste your time by sweet talking to you and at the end they bring in pressure to open up a new policy, when all you wanted to do is make a change. I understand there are agent fees, it's how they keep the office up and running , but with them there's the base fees and what they are able to get out of you. At the end they give you no other option but to open up a new policy. On top of that they ask you to give a good rating right there on the spot because they where able to give you a "good discount" after speaking to their manager. It's all BS! If what their asking doesn't seem fair go to another office regardless of how long they held you up in the office and act like you guys are "buddies" Lesson learned, after almost 1k spent on insurance in less than two months in that office.
