Absolutely stay away from this company!!!! I wish I would have read the reviews before. Credit card fraud committed after I shared by bank details, the person purchased 1500$ in Ticketmaster with my details. And by the looks of it it's not the first time. They told me the policy was going to start off at 269 first month and then 90 after, they keep calling me 8 times a day harassing me to make an unexpected 200$ payment I never agreed on. I went by the office spoke to a very nice guy that gave me some phone numbers, now called the phone number and I canceled the insurance without a problem. I think the problem is the broker!!! He called me after I had already spoken to someone at freeway insurance and I told him I cancelled the insurance he said he doesn't care I still have to pay and he threatened me I wouldn't be able to get insurance anywhere else if I didn't pay this unexpected fee. Their website is designed to provide fake quotes and they even take bank your account and routing number before making you sign a contract that is apparently worthless. Hi, I started to fill out a form but stop. I kept getting calls and texts and I asked them to stop. I then got muliple calls from Veronica harassing me ( literally back to back). I didn't even have the form submitted and they kept reaching out. I then asked them to stop and Veronica proceeded to call back to back 5 times between 1100-1103am. I then called and asked to speak to a Supervisor and she said there is only person here, I then called back and couldnt get through on the english line so I selected the spanish line and I was able to get through however that person "transfered me" but actually ended the call. I should have read the reviews before getting this insurance. I once broke down and was told that they had no man power at the time I had to stay in my car until they found someone, which they couldn't find anyone. I called a tow truck from Fresno to come to Visalia to get me. Was put in hold a least ten times , and still no help. Today I get a text to renew my insurance..mind you I just sent a payment for April in which was received on the third of April. Still being told that I'd have to send money for the renewal..what the blank is going on. So what happened to the $92.83 that I just sent ??? Are you actually going to just take my money. Stay away! I purchased a policy from one of their brokers over the phone and the broker stole my credit card information and made numerous fraudulent charges on my card! I have filed a police repot and called freeway to inform them of the felony. They told me they would investigate it and right now this broker is still working for them when she should at least be suspended during the investigation! read more

She was consistent with responding to get payment paid, but now when I ask questions around roadside assistance or any type of questions surrounding my "insurance" with them, NO RESPONSE. And then when I asked about changing my due date last week that was not an option and they had no real good reason as to why. I called this company to get a quote and spent time on the phone giving all of my info including vin numbers drivers license numbers etc. After one employee took all my info, he said it would be a couple of minutes to calculate my quote. After a couple of minutes another employee got on the phone to give me my quote. He asked if I currently had insurance. When I told him yes, he asked why I was changing insurance companies. I told him I thought I could get a more affordable price. He told me that California prices had tripled because of inflation and that I would likely not get a better rate by changing. He asked how much I was paying currently, and I told him, "Id rather not say, I'd like to know how much you plan to quote me". He said, "Have a nice day" and he hung up on me!!!!! Disrespectful game players. I called 2 local numbers for Cost You Less insurance and get routed to Huntington Beach CA. Sales person asks me first off my date of birth and name. I questioned that why not auto info first and ask where am I calling which wasn't Pleasant Hill CA, I said I wasn't comfortable giving personal info to a different number than I called and i said never mind and ended the call. Please after reading my review take me serious.. is not worth signing up or working with any of these type of brokage insurance like Freeway insurance or Adrian'as and all these other small companies. They do not know what they are doing. They also do not have reliable offices. And when you need to cancel they stall by asking you to write a hand written letter to who knows what address, cause the information on the paperwork has so many tel numbers and names that's they affiliate with. Or they tell you to go to one of there offices to cancel in person. I had to drive to 3 different places just to cancel after a week of my agent giving me the run around, because they were shut down.. scary.. Got hung up on and really just poor service! Very frustrating. They could not even tell me if I was getting a refund. Which I highly doubt. Its not worth it. With big legit companies, now do everything on line, no hassle. It's important to understand you are protecting your assets, cars property that we use everyday, our lives. The coverage you get has to be clear, because it's our responsibility when something happens. My peace of mind is very important and I will never ever rely on these brokage companies, they don't care, they just take your money. read more

Freeway insurance does not compare AT ALL to the higher quality insurance companies but for the money you pay, you get exactly what you pay for nothing more nothing less. You want clear communication about every aspect of your policy, FORGET IT! You want an insurance company to have your back in every way, FORGET IT! You want them to have genuine concern about your pockets and saving you money, FORGET IT!! I have had them for 3 years as a last resort because my husband had 2 accidents within a 6 month time period. Traditional insurance companies would cover us but on the upward rate of 450-500 per month!!! Neither of these accidents was his fault and the police reports show the same but because the other drivers that were involved in the accident had NO insurance, it fell upon us. This leads me to my first of 3 complaints, my first complaint is that IF you are involved in an accident and the other person at fault has no insurance you can just abandon ALL hope of FREEWAY insurance relaying information to the underwriters to properly fight for you. They should have made sure that the underwriters were correctly vetted to fight for us, but they didn't do that. That made my premium go up. This leads to my second complaint: they are NOT proactive in trying to help you achieve a cheaper rate. I had to call and ask them to shop for a cheaper rate. I think it to be important to always shop around for your customer a cheaper rate even if the customer has never had an accident. Once they shopped around they found a full coverage insurance for $290.00 a month for two vehicles. This brings me to my 3rd complaint: I get that we have unforeseen circumstances with Covid but the entire start of the new policy occurred thru TEXT! Yes, thru text! Freeway sucks at communication. They never give you all of the information you need to make a uniformed decision. AND God forbid that you have some intelligence to ask questions, they get pissy when responding!!! The rep that contacted me kept texting me for information, when he could have picked up the phone and called (you can't get Covid via a phone conversation). I finally called him only to receive a text that he was on the phone and would call back. I also have to add that he acted as though my text was foreign because he could not get the gist of me saying to match my policy inclusions with the previous one I had. He kept changing the deductibles and the vehicle year date for our Dodge Ram. (This was our second Ram because the first one was totalled out). He kept trying to insure the total loss Ram. WTH!! Once he finally called, I explained to him very carefully what I needed, he said he would call me back and he didn't... guess what he did, YUP sent a friggin text. Once we texted thru setting up the new policy, I paid my down payment and he told me that my payments would be $290 a month. He advised that a payment would be due in 2 weeks after I made the down payment but I had a 10 day grace period to make the payment before the policy cancelled. He actually used that as a selling tactic to coax me into signing quickly but he neglected to tell me that it was an additional $8 for a late fee. GO FIGURE! He attempted to send me a picture, that's right a picture of the policy and I made him send it to my email. Guess what happened, i got the policy in the email only to find out he added the total loss vehicle as the insured vehicle. You have got to be kidding me. So of course, I called him back and told him it was wrong. He told me to just sign the papers and he would send me a corrected copy. ARE YOU INSANE? I work under a multitude of attorney's and in a heartbeat they would have told me not to sign it... So I politely told him, No, send me the corrected copy and I will sign. After several minutes of going back and forth he finally sent me a corrected copy. He never communicated with me the new underwriters name (saw it on the corrected dec page) or how I should pay. I had to wait for the invoice to come in to even know how I should pay. I was trying to even search this new underwriter for company information and little to no information came up about them. I am thinking, are they even a legit insurance company? I am a pretty laid back person and it takes a lot to get under my skin but the incompetency of the Freeway insurance employee sent me to planet pissed off!!! You are welcome to take away from this what you wish, some ppl had great experiences and some not so great. Mine was OK up until Freeway's lack of concern with these accidents, Freeway's transition of the new underwriters, and the new rates. The ONLY reason why I am sticking with this company is because I have to without paying a HUGE insurance rate. I had some issues from the insurance paperwork I had gotten from a different branch of Freeway Insurance that I needed to handle some things at the DMV. When I got to the DMV I saw that there was a discrepancy with what I was told at the other branch and the broker Rony Lara went out of his way to try to help me and make sure my issue was revolved as this was an urgent matter.
