I had to cook my own meals plus a dinner for the entire house which was 20 girls plus house mothers. This is a lot for someone who could barely function and required treatment. I was there for 10 days and not allowed to make phone calls. None! The therapist told my husband I was not doing well and needed a higher level of care. He then left for the weekend. I was nearly catatonic and could barely form a sentence. I tried talking to the house, mothers, a nurse, the doctor, therapist, and the head therapist and I could not get the help I needed. I'm still being treated for PTSD from staying at The Ranch and it has been seven years. The only time I felt safe was my last night in the infirmary before I left. This is not a place for someone with any sort of mental disorder. It is more of a recovery center for addiction. It is a holistic approach to healing. Please read reviews carefully before you go. I was struggling from grief, depression, and anxiety. I was desperate and didn't know where to turn. I thought The Ranch was my answer and it was almost my ending.

He told me on several occasions it was common there for male AND female staff to have sexual relations with the patients. Besides having a great program, their commitment to each client is inspiring and effective. They had added an extended care program for those that need additional care beyond what is offered at traditional half way house programs. I have not been through the program, but have volunteered there for the past 6 years. If I would relapse, I will ho through the program.

They actually did TWO procedures on me in the same day. Once it was time to have another one, I had move into an area near Dickson. Of course I thought that the big name hospital in Metro Nashville would have the finest. I instead booked my colonoscopy at Horizon Tristar and the doctor I ended up was Dr. Hasanin. l explained my past issues and he assured me that it would be fine. He indeed was able to complete the procedure with no problems, removed polyps and all went well. I was so trilled to find a caring and highly competent doctor near by! I have since then had another one 5 years later and it went great again. I can't give Dr. Hasanin a higher recommendation. Note: The staff was wonderful too. Highly recommend.

I live out of state, so I can't comment on the daily care, but I am not impressed with what I do…read moreknow. I have personally called several times to speak with my grandmother. Each time, I am told that someone will take the phone to her room so she can call. It's a rare event that I ever get a call. My dad who was visiting several times a week before the shut down has also called several times. He hasn't been able to speak with her for at least three weeks. This is absolutely not ok. During times like this, it's even more important than usual for family members to be able to communicate with their loved ones.
