No attempts were made to communicate with opposing counsel until 24 hours beforehand and at that point it was too late. Opposing counsel stated that it was the fact their people had to go to court again which is why they decided to throw the book at me and make an example. I was promised that hiring would result in a better financial situation and the result was essentially break even after hiring the firm because of their lack of preparation. I also found their team lacking in empathy or ability to communicate. At no point, did I feel like they had my best interest at heart. I was just a paycheck to them.

I subsequently followed my inquiry with a telephone call indicating I was following up on contact initiated via their contact page. Without listening to my reason for contact, Mr. Steiner simply said he was not interested, incorrectly assuming I was selling him something. If a person providing legal services can't find the time to listen to the complaint or reason for contact, why would I expect them to fully understand or successfully argue my case? Perhaps, the failure to follow-up from them should have been seen as a sign of what to expect. Seek representation elsewhere.

They handled the original filing in a timely manner, but since then they seem to forget who the client is and that they are there to serve the needs of the client - not simply for them to take a cookie cutter approach to every case. The main issue is that they do not communicate clearly what is going to be happening in your case, and who will be representing you and what arguments are being made. I have lost all trust and faith in this firm. I recently asked for them to provide an audio copy of arguments in my case - a simple matter file a form electronically and go pick up a CD. They refused. I would do this in person if I did not live out of state. It begs the question - what do they not want the client to hear about their own case. I would also add that their answer anytime you want to do something not cookie cutter is to Dismiss your case voluntarily and then refile. Of course that means you pay more fees and are at the mercy of your creditors during that process.
