As you can tell from my other reviews, my wife and i like festivals and fairs. What is offered in…read morethis state is a reflection of all that is good. Plus there is good food and tractors! We found this fair by accident and decided to travel up to Simpsonville and stay at an Airbnb and enjoy this small town. we had never been here before and we were exited about all that we read about this fair. Now this is your typical small town fair. Lots of locals and great stuff for youth of all ages. This an event to educate and inspire community celebration of the science and technology of plant and animal production through youth participation involving the 4-H and FFA organization! The South Greenville Fair promotes responsibility, and leadership for youths by providing the challenges of competition in all phases of agriculture, horses, and livestock. and it provides a format for the community to see and experience, and helps promote the value of the environment and natural resources to preserve rural heritage. Been around since 1958! As you can see there are plenty of cows, goats and chickens, We met some of the fine kids who really put lots of hours into raising their animals to be champions. One the coolest things i haven't seen in many years and my wife has never seen (shes a city girl) was the rabbit judging contest. The judge went over each rabbit in great detail and it was very stressful for the rabbit owners! We got to meet the Fair Queen! She was a delightful young lady who took the honor with professionalism and grace. What does a fair queen get and do? Well i had to ask never being one myself! They get a $500.00 Scholarship awarded to the college of her choice~ her duties at the fair are, She will be handing out prize ribbons, riding in the tractor parade, & giving Autographs! Ok the tractor parade was awesome! I do like them and these folks tack great pride in their tractors, some of them were over 100 years old! If you look we took over 33 photos of the event and didnt even cover it all. We ate homemade ice cream, excellent homemade cookies and really enjoyed the locals we met, super friendly and they were so glad we came. There was plenty of parking and super clean porta potties. They even had men and women's porta potties! Its held in Sept of every year and well worth the trip. We will be back!

Amy, Kim, and all of the other teachers are not only incredibly skilled, but also genuinely caring and thoughtful. They take the time to really get to know each student- understanding their individual strengths and helping them grow both as dancers and as young people. The atmosphere is warm and encouraging, never high-pressure. It's clear that the focus is not just on excellent technique, which they absolutely provide, but also on building character, confidence, and poise. Our daughter has gained so much more than just dance training here- she has developed lifelong values and a deep love for the art form. We couldn't be more grateful for Amy and her dedication (and heart!) that her studio pours into every student. We highly recommend!!

What an absolute disgrace the "new" Cornerstone Ballet in Simpsonville is…read more Yesterday, while the studio is "closed" for Christmas break we received a billing statement. They had the nerve to bill us for recital fees twice for $125 (not including show tickets) that were already paid according to their billing statement. The fee includes costume and venue RENTAL! Next, they overcharged us - almost doubled the payment - every single month since the start of the year. We caught it, and their bill stated we still owed $125. We contacted the owner about this and another concern, the age of the dancers in the class. After "observation week" last Thursday we questioned the owner Amy at the time of the billing issues why the "6-8 experienced ballet class" only had two students this age (the others looked about 4 and were definitely below six, even wearing different colored leotards to represent their "age per the website dress code). We were denied a phone call to discuss this and other billing questions. The "refunded" money from the overcharge wasn't even directly refunded to our bank account! They actually "credited" the dance account and kept all the extra money for themselves - in advance). Despite all of the errors and dishonesty, we were told by the owner Amy over text to speak to her employee when they return after break. We explained how disappointed we are (over text) in response to the owner, and that we deserve a simple phone call. We also asked for an updated invoice before the end of the break so we could confirm the financials were correct. Today we received a passive aggressive email stating that the students were at least six years old (we have video of the students who are clearly 4 years old wearing the light blue uniform for students ages 4-5) and Amy, the owner, kicked my daughter out VIA EMAIL ! She cited we are not a good "fit." Yup, an eight year old was kicked out because they were unwilling to have a simple conversation "over break" and resolve the matter. But, they didn't mind taking all of our money and billing us .... over break. Absolutely terrible. https://www.cornerstoneballetsc.com

CCNB Amphitheatre has great potential - once completed. We joined a full house of hearty Mumford &…read moreSons fans last night in the rain. Turns out you can only get so wet... Unfortunately, we arrived later than planned and had to park in a muddy lot quite a ways away. Don't dilly-dally and be too late or you'll suffer the same fate. Most available parking is on grass which presents quite an issue during monsoon season. Wear your Grundigs. The amphitheater has a huge selection of food offerings only to be matched by the THC/Liquor/Beer stands. There are two permanent restrooms and a host of Porta-John's with no lines. A good sign that either there are ample facilities or on a rainy night people just peed in their pants. Could be a combination of the two. The people working the show were very nice, but seemed to be quite confused about whether or not chairs were allowed or really anything about the venue. This is most likely due to everything being so new and will most likely improve with practice. Sight lines to the stage are decent. The slope is fairly mild so seeing over the people in front of you can be an issue. I was very impressed by the quality of the sound. Excellent! All in all CCNB Amphitheatre is a good place to see an outdoor concert and will only get better as they finish it up.

I'm surprised by the low ratings for the CCNB Amphitheatre! We attended the Spiritbox, Papa Roach,…read moreand Shinedown concerts here in September 2023 and had a good experience. This is an all-outdoor venue, so dress appropriately, but our weather was gorgeous. Parking was easy and free. We arrived early, which was smart because the venue is off a two-lane road and latecomers had to park further away and walk. If you're early and get a spot in the parking lot close to the venue instead of the overflow lot, the walk isn't bad at all. The concert didn't allow folks to bring in chairs, so we purchased tickets with seats. Outdoor folding chairs were available for rent, but I didn't see a single rented chair on the lawn, so I guess the price was not right. Policies differ from show to show but are spelled out on the website, so do your research and buy tickets accordingly. CCNB Amphitheatre has buildings with bathrooms, portalets, and fancy trailers with potties. The food and beverage choices are good, with mostly "fair foods" and typical concert beers, wines, and frozen cocktails. Don't expect anything fancy, but do expect to pay concert prices because beer and food aren't cheap at any event. Our show was a lot of fun, but we left a little early to beat the traffic. I would hate to see the crowd to leave, especially with a two-lane road. I feel like the area's infrastructure is still "catching up" with this venue, but I would return for a concert.
