I used Buddy Pacheco and crew five months ago to transport my wife from Riverside to Rancho Mirage - a memory care facility to another. He provided good communication and transportation for that two-hour trip, and so when I needed a transporter to move my wife from Rancho Mirage to St. George, Utah - a long 7-hr drive and potentially troublesome trip - I went with Buddy again. His quoted price was the most affordable, but based on his previous work for my wife and me, I trusted his ability to deliver her to me safely. He was very patient and flexible while working with me on payment and my changing move date. Before transporting my wife, Buddy took the time to ask me questions related to my wife's favorite comfort zones for a long trip: what was her favorite music, videos, snacks, beverages? Did she prefer stops at a gas station or rest stop? What was her favorite fast food restaurant? Based on my experience with dementia, I felt Buddy also had experience with patients and what gives them comfort by his pertinent questions. I had to choose a very early start time and he arrived for pick-up promptly at 0600 after having to make a drive over an hour just to get there. Communication was great. His drive-time was very efficient and timely, and I could tell by my wife's state of mind upon exiting his very nice transport van that she not only enjoyed the long drive but had made friends with Buddy and his crew...incredible. They helped me move her belongings into the facility's lobby before returning home. Finding the right facility was incredibly stressful. Transporting my wife safely across two states was just as important. I am very grateful for Buddy Pacheco's work and experience. I would use his service again. [Note: I knew Buddy took care of my wife when I saw the take-out bags from In-N-Out in his van...just like I told him that was her favorite fast food joint!] read more

Freedom Transportation - Buddy Pacheco (left) and his transporter crew. - Medical Transportation Near Me

My mother suffered a stroke two weeks back and left her unable to walk and with a last minute follow up appointment with her Doctor, I had no idea how I was gonna get her there. Enter Freedom Transport. They were the only service out of several I called that contacted me back promptly. Process was easy. I text where mom needed pick up and where we were going. Alyssa contacted me for details and was kind and compassionate. Even though it was extremely stressful for mom, I can't thank Urbano the driver enough. Not only was he patient and understanding he helped put my mom at ease with words of encouragement. He helped me with loading and unloading her and made an unfamiliar process to me easier. The price was better than others that contacted me the day after too. I will definitely be using Freedom Transport again in the future and recommend them highly. Big thank you to the entire team. read more

David and Freedom did a great job. Today was a very important day for my family and they were on time and reliable. They treated my mom with respect and my family is so grateful and relived that they were available as my mom is fresh out of surgery and could not walk. She was transported in her wheelchair and thank God these good folks helped up. The his has been a tough recovery and it's so nice to know that angels like this exist during tough times of our life's. Thank you! - Donna read more

After reading the reviews, I thought I would go along with booking from this company, but they're booking service is only through a phone call or a text ( they said easier to send a text) I sent a text so it could be easier and everyone and got a response and no one ever responded with a confirmation. That's so unfortunate. I was hoping for my mother to have a wonderful experience and vlog and shoutout this company on my IG/tik tok for my million viewers to see that there is a shuttle that provides destinations arrivals for the handicap. I'm so bummed. They need better communication or a better booking service. read more

Wow. I just can't say enough about this company. Each and every driver and attendant is exceptional. They know their business and are caring and compassionate to their (patients, residents, riders?) AND their families. They are professional, timely and personable. (And if there is a delay, they are prompt to let us know what is happening.) My mom is recovering from a stroke and cannot speak much yet. Yet she was able to tell one driver, "thank you for taking such good care of me." It took her a while to get the words out, but he stood there patiently and let her finish. Quality of care is 10/10. read more

I forgot to mention the fact that Buddy and his staff make sure we get to our destinations on time Thank God for Buddy read more

Wow! First word that comes to mind with Freedom Transportation! Buddy and his team of caring, devoted individuals are your only choice for medical transport in So Cal and beyond. We had utilized their services for a local transport from a facility referral with great success. When the time came to move our father from Riverside CA to Reno, NV we returned for a state to state transport. Living in the Sierra Mountains this time of year is a weather challenge on a regular day. With a series of snow storms and my fear for his and the crews safety they were flexible beyond all customer services expectations re-scheduling not once, twice but 3 times to keep all safe! Dad was spiled with excellent care and attention. They were prepared by inquiring about his likes and favorite foods, drinks and snacks and providing all of his preferences, actually over providing, he likes being waited on. With his Dementia they were experts with his care. Fighting the move, the team made him feel safe and happy calming down from the start until the end. The anxiety my husband and I were feeling melted away instantly when we received a great photo of him in the van on his way! Communication continued throughout the entire trip. Pricing for services are fair, reasonable and more than competitive with other agencies. The cost is worth every cent for the peace of mind we had once he was in the van and on the way, We told Buddy with his Dementia he may be in for a challenge that never happened. He never even required his mediation for agitation on a 10+ hour drive! This is the difference in Freedom Transportation with the personal, non-sterile approach we have gotten with other transporters. Thank you Buddy, Carmen and all of your staff for loving your chosen profession. I have been a nurse for 40+ years and recommend Freedom for all of your transportation needs. THANK YOU AGAIN! read more

Based on the previous reviews, I decided to try this company to take my disabled mom to her doctor's appointment. I wish I could say that our experience today was at the same caliber as the ones mentioned here. So as not to discourage others who may want to try this company, I wont outline everything that made our experience a negative one. I'm hoping that our disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service today was an isolated incident. I will sum up however by saying that this was our first time using this company & the very last. read more

Buddy and Carmen did an outstanding job transporting my Aunt from Hemet to Bakersfield. She has dementia and they treated her like a queen! She was entertained during the 4 hour trip with episodes of I love Lucy, listening to Frank Sinatra, having a snack, and just good conversation. I was updated every hour of their location and how my Aunt was doing. Upon arrival to her new home, they even sent me a picture! Buddy was very easy to work with and explained the procedure and steps evolved. They made a very stressful situation easy! I highly recommend Freedom Transportation to anyone in the same situation I was facing. Thank you Buddy and Carmen for your professionalism and caring demeanor. read more

Freedom Transportation went absolutely above and beyond! We were fighting obstacles one right after another looking for a same day one-way transfer. Buddy was able to squeeze us in and got my MIL safely transferred. We scheduled a wheelchair transport and when he got there to pick her up, facility said she needed gurney transport, which he was able to accommodate. He also communicated with us his timing throughout the entire transport. The price was very fair. I highly recommend this company!!! read more
