Great place. Staff are friendly and it's clean. They do have policies so make sure you have what you need and it will be smooth.

There are a couple of gems in the rough, but for the most part the staff does not demonstrate any desire to complete patient care in a timely fashion. Appointments are consistently running at LEAST 45 minutes behind schedule, and it's disappointing that it is consistently a 2-3 hour visit for a task that should be completed in an hour (I've never had this lengthy of an experience at other plasma centers). I notice long stretches of down time in between any task that a staff member completes. I highly recommend some productivity metrics and thresholds - Freedom could be saving a lot of labor expense and creating a positive patient experience instead of what is currently being offered. read more

Was wishing this place could have held up to their website and written promises, sadly that is not the case. After my first donation, I was denied 2 times, then had to wait again due to distance. Finally donated again. Then denied again on my 5th attempt. Called to ask questions that should have an easy answer over the phone, but they refused. Another problem I have, is when I first went in, I told them I was a veteran and showed proof. Only on my 3rd donation did I receive the supposed benefit. I feel like I have been let down and lied to continuously. If donating plasma is so important and helpful to others, why is it so impossible to donate when your healthy? I'm also curious as to why someone who was sexual assaulted is considered to "partake in risky behavior"? No one has been able to answer this question for me, because "others health is not my concern", ('other' being a close family member, who they have yet to answer the same question because they won't let them donate). Disappointed in the overall experience, felt disconnected from staff, even if there was a couple that seemed friendly from afar. I guess it's time to find another donation center, that actually wants to help others! read more

Honestly all the staff on the floor are too busy dancing to club music or on their phones to help anyone. I also wonder how many breaks this place has there was a girl from up front that seemed to disappear multiple times and for more than 20 minutes each time. The managers are just as bad because they allow them to do it. The only ones that I ever see working are the ladies in the back behind the glass. Presently filing of improper operating condition at this facility that could endanger your health. I was recently in a blood return cycle when a worker without authority terminated my blood return. She stated I was then suspended for donating for 52 weeks. When speaking with administration, they could give me no valid reason for terminating blood return. I then asked who licenses their facility and they stated F.D.A. Note that the manager/administrator for this facility refuses to speak to me about these problems. After they replied FDA oversees operation they immediately stated I was no longer welcome their.. without any prior problems to date. After writing a prior previous review I was asked to contact the administrator of this facility.. when I did she promptly hung up. Just at the time I was disconnected during blood return I was discussing how at one point their success rate of hitting the vein was only 20% and with injuries to both arms on two visits, injuries that caused 8 weeks of unable to donate due to vein puncture. I was also discussing with my donating neighbor the fact that when I was terminated from blood return before they did not follow the same policy, I was not suspended for 52 weeks, only until the large purple injuries dissipated about two to 4 weeks. read more

Garbage facility. I went my first time this last wednesday 1/18/23 and after an almost 3 hour wait i was seated to do the donation. A few minutes into the procedure i noticed a bed bug on my skin, i alerted the staff who languished in disgust at the presence of said bed bug. I absolutely 100% do not have bed bugs in my home, however on my second visit i go to sign in after waiting 30 minutes outside in the cold, and it flagged me. So 2 different employees pull me into a med room telling me that they have to inspect me for bedbugs that i was being deferred. I allowed them to check my belongings and person, to which of course they found nothing, then said they lifted that defferment but that bc i had a slight bruise from where they stuck me on weds. That now that was my defferal. Ive honestly never been so insulted. The facility is dirty and obviously has a problem with bugs but the fact that i brought it to their attention shouldve waranted them maybe cleaning their facility instead of placing blame on me. When I initially heard that Benton Harbor was getting a plasma center I was excited considering I didn't have to drive to South Bend center anymore. The excitement didn't last long this place is extremely unprofessional compared to OctaPharma in South Bend. My expectations was high for freedom plasma only to be let down. I rather drive to South Bend center because in the time it would take me to get there and donate and back is way less than better than waiting at freedom plasma. The ladies here aren't motivated, very slow and excruciating wait times. They stand around talking with a lobby full of people. Know on takes the leader role except a worker there named Miracle! She is a strong leader and have seen her step up and come from back to help the front out to manage the crowd. All you can hear is workers saying how they don't want to work or they are not going to do this or that. It's very sad, It's hard for me to believe that this company have these unprofessional unmotivated people representing this company or brand. So if you want to sit for hours waiting to be screened while the workers stand around and complain about work and not work this is the place to be. No stars for me. read more
