I recently moved here to Florida from the north-west where the weather is considered moderate to cool, compared to Florida's sometimes sweltering weather. Within 2 weeks of arriving, my AC started to fail as the temperature and humidity were climbing. I called several AC companies where I encountered their automated phone system--no live reps--frustrating! However, when I called Palm Bay Air Care Experts, I was not only greeted by a "live" person, but an AC Expert who answered the phone. A technician arrived the same day, tested out my system, and yes, I need a new AC--my system was not old, but very old. I selected a new system, and the installation was scheduled. However, I was told it would be two (2) days before the new system could be installed. Again, I am not accustomed to this Florida heat and humidity. I didn't say a thing, but my face must have said it all, "I won't survive!" The technician immediately, and without request, stated he would be back later in the day with a temporary window unit to hold me over until my new system could be installed. Then, as promised, Palm Bay Air Expert technicians (3) showed up on the scheduled date, first thing in the morning and installed my new AC system\--I as up and running within hours. Everyone was professional, and curious. Before leaving, the senior tech walked me through my new system's operation, maintenance requirements and warranty program. Our A/C system quit working recently and Jay's Air and Heat was recommended by our daughter and…read moreson-in-law. They had used Jay's for a repair on their system a few months ago and were very happy with their work. We called them to check ours out and Edgar stopped by the next day to advise us of a solution. After looking at the equipment and finding that it was 16 years old and a definite Freon leak was visible he said any repair made would only be a temporary fix and it would fail again. The only question was when . We then discussed replacement options . Jay's gave us an estimate on 3 different systems that they thought was the best fit for us. We chose a Comfortmaker 2 stage system with a heat pump. A few days later Jay's arrived with all the equipment and installed it in about 7 hours. That's a big job but Cory, Wyatt and Hayden did a great job with the installation. They were very professional and courteous. They answered all of our questions that came up during the install. Edgar also stopped by and did a fogging procedure because we had told him that we could smell cigarettes through out the house at times. He said that this would help neutralize any nicotine residue that might be in the ductwork. It really seems to have helped with this problem.
