We were very pleased with the counter top and back splash and decided then and there if ever we needed any granite counter tops we would call Archaic Design.

Russel Martin and the folks at Archaic Design did an amazing job from start to finish helping us…read moreselect and install new granite kitchen countertops and a complex bar area. Our kitchen was a 1980's builders special disaster with walls and vast counters that were unbelievably crooked and unlevel. For an excellent price and value that far beat out the big box stores and other well known local granite shops, Russel and his team helped us artistically pick out the exact slab at a large independent local granite yard, got us a great granite price, meticulously templated a tough kitchen, and even gave us a great deal on the undermount designer sink and 10+ year Stone Enhancer Sealant! We also weren't forced to pick out a slab from some limited selection that Archaic Design owned to get a competitive price. We previously had other granite and quartz counters installed in bathrooms by another local company that advertises granite specials a lot. I can tell you....Archaic Design did an installation and fabrication job that was light-years better for a much better price. It must be because Archaic Design, Russel and his crew design and build kitchens from the ground up and are building contractors...because they were able to do wall corrections, bracketing and exceptional install craftsmanship that NO big box store or basic granite fabricator around would have been able to tackle. AND there was no extra charge! Archaic Design didn't nickel and dime us to death, over inflate the measurements, or try to bait and switch us on price. Archaic Design's quoted price was our final price! ALSO .. We quickly realized how critical it is even if you are changing just counter tops to have someone like Russel and his kitchen building crew install the countertops to make sure that the proper structural modifications, leveling, rod and bracketing etc. are done during the install. As for the granite slab cutting and polishing work itself -- It was exceptional and I'm picky. There is a big, high-end difference in the edge detail and polishing that was immediately noticeable....yet at an extremely budget friendly price. I'm pretty sure that Archaic design is the ONLY full granite fabrication facility that also has a complete kitchen design and contracting operation -- which seems to give them exceptional 'know how'. Bottom line: Would highly recommend giving Russel and his crew a call and having them tackle a countertop, backsplash or kitchen/bathroom project. They immediately returned our calls and texts, and always answered all of our questions anytime. Russel and team were committed to excellence, service and high quality for a great price. They made us very satisfied customers -- Our friends and neighbors can't believe the kitchen transformation and the difference Archaic's new countertops made for what we spent!

The quote explicitly stated: "The replacement water heater can be installed either in the attic space where the existing one currently is (provided it fits in the attic access), or it can be installed in the garage. Either location, pricing valid for either.", "*Installation includes all required wiring & water lines." Pictures and requested information were provided by my realtor to assist in preparing the quote. Additional detailed pictures of the house layout were available online via the property listing. I signed the quote on 7 February 2025 and paid $2,150 on 9 February 2025. Tech Visit and Refusal to Install: The technician arrived at the property and stated that the supplied water heater could not be installed in the attic due to its hybrid nature, weight concerns, and potential condensation issues. I requested that the water heater be installed in the garage, as explicitly stated in the signed quote. Climate Experts refused, claiming the situation was not as expected and that installation in the garage would cost more than the quoted and paid amount. Forced Purchase of Additional Water Heater: Due to time constraints related to the sale of the house, Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, leaving me with no choice but to purchase the recommended water heater for installation in the attic. The new water heater was installed with an invoice dated 17 February 2025 and signed 13 February 2025. Issues and Concerns Failure to Honor Signed Quote: The signed quote explicitly stated that the water heater could be installed in the garage. Climate Experts refused to honor this agreement, citing additional costs and unforeseen circumstances despite having sufficient information (pictures, listing details, etc.) to prepare the quote. Lack of Due Diligence: Climate Experts did not send a technician to inspect the property prior to providing the quote, despite my realtor offering flexibility to accommodate a visit. This oversight led to inaccurate assumptions and subsequent issues. Leverage of Time Constraints: Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, forcing me to purchase an additional water heater to meet the inspection requirements for selling the house. Financial Impact: I incurred additional costs due to Climate Experts' refusal to honor the original agreement and their lack of due diligence.
