I am a single mom raising 2 boys. One being of special needs. I have been going to this clinic for their chiropractic care program, since March of 2017. It is not my first chiropractor I have been to, but it is the first one I have been to that involves the whole body and mind. I have been to other holistic chiropractors before, and their programs are not like this. Not saying anything bad about anyone else I have been to, Just that I am not overloaded with vitamins I should be taken at an outrageous cost. Freedom chiropractic encourages you to learn about the food you eat and exercise you do. Basically live a healthier lifestyle. I personally have a really bad neck, which anyone who knows how important it is to be properly aligned knows that neck alignment is very important. I was starting to have issues with daily living activities like peeling potatoes or washing dishes. Let alone taking care of my son with special needs who requires CNA care, which is me. I went to my regular family doctor for almost a year just to figure out why I was having the issues I was, and basically got no where. Than I was introduced to Freedom chiropractic and started with my personalized plan. Since I have been going all the issues I was having with my arm have almost dissipated. My energy levels have increased drastically, and most importantly I am eating better and more often than before. So after experiencing what it has done for me I thought of my son Cody who has had a fusion of his spine from T-3 to L-4. I knew there wasn't much they can do for that area of his body, but I inquired if there was anything they could do for him. His x-rays were a surprise to me and the Dr., but it was decided that they could help with his pelvic and neck. I decided to start him in his program. At first I had to get on the table first to show him it was okay, but now he always goes first. He really enjoys going every week. Which tells me he is benefiting from it. My youngest was complaining of headaches. So I starting taking him and the headaches are not bothering him as regularly as they us to. I am not made of money, but in my opinion the amount I spend taking my family here is worth every penny spent. Our quality of life has greatly improved, just by being part of this great Chiropractic office and having someone encouraging your success. The personal touch of this office is amazing. When we walk in, they know us, they know our bodies. When I started with Freedom, we did not know the extent of my injuries or need, all I knew was it hurt to walk, stand and sit. I had been in P.T for at least 2 years before getting to Freedom, to no avail. The doctors I had been seeing could not figure out what was wrong with me or how to relieve my pain. I had a decent supply of muscle relaxers and motrin because they was all the docs knew how to do. It wasn't until Dr Jason suggested an MRI to find the source of my pain that we got any real answers. The answers were not good, but at least we finally had them. Dr Jason was happy to speak with my doctors and physical therapists as needed to ensure that everyone working on my body had the same information and was on the same page. At one point I was under the care of a doctor, physical therapist, massage therapist, personal trainer, and Freedom. Talk about expensive! Not only did I have issues from neck to knee, but my hips are a mess. Since we have finally figured out what is wrong with my body, we have been able to treat it. We can't fix it, but we can manage it, MEDICINE FREE! Today, I can not just walk, but hike. I can do almost everything now that I could not do before. I no longer need a team of people to try and manage this. I only need to be seen at Freedom and the doc as needed. No more P.T., no more monthly massages, no more personal trainer. I love that I can go in as my schedule allows, I don't to worry about appointments because I can go in during any of the adjusting hours. I don't think anyone likes the "business" feel of healthcare, but it is a business. All my adult life, I was searching for a better way to health - other than going to the doctor and getting another pill!! I knew that I had to do better, especially for my whole family! Then I hurt my back. I had sciatica really bad. My doctor prescribed pain killers and physical therapy. Here I thought I got lucky! The pills made me loopy. I couldn't drive or really do anything worthwhile. The physical therapy hurt more and more. Next were the cortisone shots. The first of June I pulled some back muscles and was in great discomfort with lower back pain and the sciatic nerve. Not wanting to get muscle relaxation meds, I found a chiropractor to find some relief. This was by total coincidence finding Freedom Chiropractic at the Life Network, Walk 4 Life event at Memorial Park in June. Not one to go to chiropractors, I had my doubts about they could really do. My doubts have now turned into loyalty and commitment of what Freedom Chiropractic has done for me. I have a more than 40 year history of chronic debilitating migraine headaches, usually more than 15 per month. All preventative medications and years of previous chiropractic treatments with five different Chiropractors have failed. I have been in two severe car accidents, one rear-ender and the other a broadside, and have been kicked in the head by a Special Needs' student, causing significant neck and upper back damage with herniated disks. Ten years ago, I began every 10 weeks' Botox injections in my head, neck, and back for the chronic migraines and neck/back pain. Over the years I have seen multiple physical therapists, using different techniques, as well as trying acupuncture to try and relieve my back and neck pain from various injuries. While I felt better in regards to pain, it did not change some of the overall health problems I was experiencing. I have had stomach issues since I was a kid and tend to pick up whatever illness is going around. As a teacher, I, like clockwork, always get sick in September and then off and on throughout the winter, resulting in missed work. I had a 60% discectomy in November of 1997; while in the military and post surgery was forced to take Naproxen Sodium to relieve pain as a result of a retained segment of disk material. I was unwilling to allow a second surgery. Fast-forward to 2009 and I started coming to Freedom Chiropractic. I've been going to Freedom for almost 3 yrs now. I came in very skeptical and in alot of pain from my Fibromyalgia.
