The people in this upper east side Manhattan community have had horrific experiences in many cases & Yelp reviews archives records of bad businesses for the neighbors to have knowledge of. This serves as a template for good results in businesses that have earned their 5 star ratings. Putting everything in proper perspective is important if you analyze why some upper east side businesses get a five star rating & many others get a one star rating. It's undeniably important for the one star ratings & the bad businesses read why they got a low rating. For my husband & me we were members of a long standing upper east side bank which I will surely give a bad review to in the near future. Ridgewood served us as a welcoming light of refreshment & comradery & a bank common sense which emanated right away. Everything to become a new member was handled with impeccable proficiency by one of its competent employees who is Nancy Zhang & Linda Ivey. All of our immediate needs were met & with some missing information which was highlighted Nancy Zhang got that resolved in such an efficient & professional manner right away!!! My husband & I get inspired when we get this first class professional treatment of worthiness!! If anyone out there on the upper east side of Manhattan is looking for a bank of impeccable values & worthiness where the bank customer is treated with royalty & impeccable professionalism it's Ridgewood at 1404 Second Avenue in our community working to be rated as a five star rating for all of us here!!

On 5/16 around 4 PM, he was assisted by a bank teller who immediately treated him with suspicion and claimed the check looked "fishy." She proceeded to contact his employer twice to verify the check, and both times the employer confirmed it was a legitimate bi-weekly paycheck. Despite receiving confirmation twice, she still refused to deposit the check and turned my husband away. Throughout the interaction, her behavior and demeanor were clearly judgmental and inappropriate. My husband is a Capital One member, and this experience was unacceptable. Even his employer recognized the unfair treatment during the second verification call. It is deeply concerning how African American customers are treated and profiled at this location. As a Hispanic woman, it is extremely upsetting and unacceptable to witness members of my own community treat other groups this way. No customer should ever feel judged, profiled, or disrespected while simply trying to complete a banking transaction. I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate because this branch clearly needs better customer service, professionalism, and sensitivity training. Situations like this should never happen to any customer.

TAHJE JONES, 7311 River Rd, North Bergen, NJ, Confirmation 232303301. An employee came, greeted me, took my paper, and went somewhere. I was left waiting near the entrance. The rest of our conversation continued right there, by the entrance door. The employee then told me they would not sign my document. I asked, "For what reason?" I explained that I had done this many times at Chase and TD without any issues. Since they seemed to have their own rules, I asked them to show me an example of how the document should be properly filled out. The employee told me to go to Google and find examples myself. I found an example of a notarized document, and they then told me that I needed to bring a document that had already been notarized. I said, "That's exactly why I came to you--I need a notary to notarize my document." They responded that these were the bank's rules and that I had to bring a document that was already notarized. ‍ What is going on? Why do they treat their customers like idiots? I wasted my time. Completely wasted it. I wasn't even invited into an office--they spoke to me near the entrance. On top of that, the managers canceled my notary appointment, marking me as a no-show! (I hadn't even made it back to my car yet). The employee acted arrogantly, avoided my questions, and at one point just walked away mid-conversation, ignoring me completely. He looked at me as if I were homeless, just because I wasn't wearing a business suit--even though I am a premium client. This is disrespectful, unprofessional, and frustrating. This bank is supposed to be No. 2 in the U.S., yet they hire employees like this?! It's not about documents, notarization, or signatures--it's about how they treat you. Today, here, unfortunately, I only felt negativity.

I am actually a doctor graduated from Dubai cleared all My exams and awaiting residency . I work in 2 clinics in the mean time and wanted to open an account At chase bank. despite telling him that I have my SSN proof of address passport copy and recent statements from my current bank I was asked this question .. Are you a US citizen ? I said no then he said I need to provide as per the policy of chase bank him with my green card . I was not asked this question at my previous bank so I went back and checked online as well as spoke to CS at chase bank and the manager and sure enough there is no such policy . Clearly my color was the reason about being asked if I was a citizen and was asked to provide a green card not sure why I was discriminated against this way with false statements of inaccurate bank policies that are deeply disturbing. My husband was never asked this question so I guess only people of certain color and race are profiled and asked for documentation that are otherwise NOT required by the bank or by NJ law. my question is does my color make me look like a dodgy character to you ?? Was I asking you for free money ??? why was I asked for a green card even with an available SSN ? How do you decide who to ask if they are citizens or not ? In my 3 years in the US I have never been made to feel this way. I feel so humiliated by this, it's just left me so disturbed Disappointed by the state of the country Proud of my color Rakshanda k
