Had our a/c quit working on a Sunday. Called and they sent Felix out that afternoon. Found out the the capacitor was bad in the fan. He replaced it sealed up the air handler and it is good to go. So lets start at the beginning. My AC quit blowing cold air in late April. I tied to call my installer, but could get no answer. So after reading all the good reviews , I called Freedom AC. They responded quickly. After checking said I had a freon leak but would have to run a dye test over the weekend to find the leak. They would send tech out on Monday to fix leak. Charge$696. Monday tech comes out couldn't find the leak, but found "my whole system was not balanced". They wanted an additional $1,800+. Um, no. Called ACE AC. They sent their tech out. Alex. Said he knew exactly what the problem was. Cleaned the coil which he stated was black with dirt. Total charge $95. Air has been running colder than it has in years. Still freezing us today. Here's one for if your house gets HOT and the Family is Baking together, but not in the fun way!!! Called Freedom air the person who answered the phone was very nice and efficient. Freedom air came out the next day to look at our old out of date system. recommended a 14 seer, but I wanted to make sure we were going to be good so I requested a price for the 16 seer, it was not much higher in price so I went with the 16. This was a complete system overhaul including duct work, additional supply's and everything was calculated to a tee to ensure our house was getting the best distribution of air throughout the house. They did all this work in 2 days and even had a stucco guy come to fix anything around the vents that they replaced or newly installed, what professionalism. They now perform my routine maintenance and I plan on sticking with them as long as I own this house!!! They had many options for payments and even a easy to use finance company as I paid part of the payment up front and then financed the rest. Freedom Air sent a tech out that inspected, recommended different solutions found other problems with my 4 yr old unit sold and installed in a timely professional manner without me feeling like I had to accept whatever outcome they said just because I don't know much about AC systems. Not enough words to describe how quick and awesome they are! Highly recommend. They replaced our entire HVAC unit and did not try to persuade us to do that. Our repair was going to cost about $1k-$2k and since our unit was old and could go any day, we decided to have them quote us on a unit for our home. Quote came back within the range we were expecting and they even talked to us about how TECO gives credits for 15 SEER units, essentially making it the same price as the 14 SEER we almost got. This company is SIMPLY the best AC company in this area BAR NONE! I just bought a home and was in the home for a couple of days and then as luck would have it MY AC STARTED BLOWING HOT AIR!! So, living in Central Florida in July, I needed this resolved ASAP! So, the first company that I called out, that had GREAT reviews, said that it just needed coolant added and that everything should be good to go, $200,00 please! Ok, GREAT!!!! 2 hours later....HOT AIR AGAIN!!!!!! So, we call them back and let them know and they said they could not get anyone out until the next day....Errrrrrr! So we leave and come back the next day when they are to arrive and 30 minutes after they were suppose to be here, they call, SORRY, we cannot come out until tomorrow!! What?!?! Forget it!! This is when we look for someone else and this is when we found Freedom Air!!! From the very first call they were nothing short of GREAT! Shortly after my wife called, the owner showed up (by this time it was close to night fall. He looked at the unit and said that the unit was empty of coolant again, he filled it up and also placed dye in it so that a leak could be found. The next day, he came back and it was VERY clear that there was a massive leak in the coils, it was come out all over (WHY DID THE OTHER COMPANY NOT SEE THIS!?) So, at this point he gave us our options. Just like others have said NO PRESSURE and when we found out what it would cost to fix, we asked what it would cost to get a new unit, he did not even bring it up!!! We then decided to get the new unit and the price was VERY fair! They came the next day and installed a new Bryant system that is amazing, all the while remaining extremely professional! My husband and I are so glad that we found this company! Had I read their reviews earlier - I would not have even thought about getting an estimate from anyone else. All reviews are current and all (on every review platform I found) are 5 stars. Everyone that has dealt with Jim and Josh have been so impressed that they have taken the time to write fabulous reviews regarding their experiences and I will too. Josh met with my husband to provide an estimate to replace a 30 yr old unit that finally died. Immediately my husband was impressed when Josh didn't just look at what was there and write up an estimate but instead opened the existing unit to be sure there was not a fix that would make it work again. He then beat the estimate we already had by 25%. The estimate we already had was provided by another company in the area whom we already have a relationship with, or so we thought! We scheduled the work to be done by Freedom Air Conditioning of course! The day of the installation Ruben called to let us know he was on his way ... their communication is spot on!
