I love a good non-chain restaurant and Nonna Angela's certainly fits the bill. I've been a few…read moretimes over the years and didn't realize I never wrote a review. I always order a pasta dish and have tried a couple. The servings are plentiful so there's always some to take home for lunch or dinner the next day. The restaurant is lively and full of patrons on the weekends and also has a lot of regulars. It's easy to understand why locals continue to frequent Nonna Angela's. I'll challenge myself the next visit to try an entree that is not pasta centered. It will be hard but I'm curious.

My wife and I returned to Nonna Angela's to celebrate our 8th Anniversary with an early dinner. We…read morearrived before 6pm and were promptly seated in a booth. Our waitress, Caroline introduced herself and took our drink order. We both ordered Prosecco while we mulled over our Appetizer and Entrees. For the appetizer, we ordered the Mozzarella Caprese. In the meantime, dinner rolls and a shallow bowl with Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) and waters were provided. While we enjoyed the appetizer, my wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I ordered a glass of Merlot. The dinner rolls were warm and delicious and we took turns dipping in the EVOO. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Crab Ravioli in a cream sauce and I ordered the Tortellini al Pesto. As it was a midweek night, there was a live musician at the rear of the restaurant playing 70's and 80's hits on his guitar and singing, occasionally also playing a harmonica. We sipped wine, enjoyed the music and soon our entrees arrived. Both were very tasty and more than either of us could finish. My wife ordered a second glass of white wine and I held back as the designated driver. For dessert, we shared a Cannoli, the perfect sweet treat. Caroline brought us takeout containers and wished us Happy Anniversary! Thank you Nonna Angela's for making our evening special!
