The library itself was in very good order, clean and upright, and stocked with a surprisingly solid mix of books. Most were paperbacks, plenty of thrillers and mysteries, and even two retired library books tucked in among them. Nothing jumped out at me today, but there was enough variety that the next person will almost certainly find something worth taking home. There are no markings to suggest it is part of the Little Free Library network, and nothing posted to indicate a steward or sponsor, just a simple community box doing its job. It appears to be a former school auditorium. There is plenty of parking, but it was hard to see initially. We entered via 3rd Street and drove by a baseball field. The OCAF is on a rise about 5 - 8 feet above the level of the road, so you can't really see its closest parking lot until you walk or drive up. I moved the car closer after I realized there was a parking lot up there. You enter past the office and along a hallway of displays of pottery / art for sale. There is also a table with historical objects from the building's school history. The exhibit space was at the end of the hall in the former auditorium. It was laid out as you might expect, with works displayed around the perimeter walls and on some freestanding wall segments in the center of the space. This exhibit was nice, but as I said it was temporary. I assume they rotate other exhibits through the space. This was within a 15-minute drive of Athens, so if you are in that area it is easy to check this place out. We drove out from Atlanta and stopped a a few places on the route, but if you drove straight through it would probably take at least 90 minutes to get here. Depending on what they have on display this is worth a stop.

Masks are required and they have Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer at the entrance. There is a sign saying you must have a cart with you in order to control how many people can come in, but it wasn't enforced at all.

Be careful, very careful when renting a van from Custom Mobility. You would be wise to obtain…read morewritten confirmation of fees. In our situation, we elected to have the van delivered. We are 41 miles away. Their website states that delivery within 50 miles is $50 each way. I was informed at the time of our rental that the website is incorrect and delivery was $1.25 per mile each way. However, the actual charge was $3.00 per mile each way which amounted to $246 instead of the $102 I expected. Had I been quoted this amount at the time of rental, I would have made different arrangements to pick up the van. In a phone call made when reviewing the bill, I was told that there was no adjustment that could be made. Life for those who need this type of vehicle is difficult enough without having to do business with those who take advantage of the disabled community. Shame on you Custom Mobility.

The main challenge right now is how crowded it gets during peak hours making it difficult to use certain machines. The locker room could benefit from a few more benches making changing a bit easier when it's busy. I do wish this location had a dry sauna, which would be a great addition after a workout. It would also be nice if the facility were open on Sundays, as that could help spread out the Monday & Tuesday after work crowds. Overall it's a great, very clean facility with a lot of potential.

Employees are a bit annoying but they just got started a couple months ago. Indoor pool, amazing layout, solid free weights area with 2 squat/deadlift platforms. Good cardio options.
