Tried grilled Calamari and it was amazing. Highly recommend it Chipotle chicken penne was good too. Little bit spicy ( I like it this spicy level) Ricotta + Spinach Penne was just ok. Friendly staff Free parking next to facility

My parents were raving about this place and introduced me here. In the restaurant, there was a bar area as well as regular tables. There were television screens on the walls with multiple sports on. My family and I were seated at a table quickly. The waitress was efficient with her work - took our orders and gave us the food. The appetizer was taking longer to make than the main so she let us know that was the case, but that was okay with us. We ordered Fred's pizza 6", seafood pasta, spaghetti with meat sauce, and grilled calamari. The pasta orders came with free breadsticks. I am personally not a bread fan so I just thought the bread was okay. However, my mom and sister, who are actual bread fans, raved about the breadstick all throughout the meal. The grilled calamari is the most popular appetizer at this restaurant and definitely lives up to its hype for it was absolutely delicious. The seafood pasta and spaghetti with meat sauce were very enjoyable as well. Fred's pizza had a very distinct taste that I could only describe it as being too sweet. It could be a hit or a miss depending on the person. My parents personally liked it, I was okay with it, but my sister refused to take a bite afterwards. Overall, I am so glad I came here. Definitely a place to come back for more pasta and calamari! The prices are a bit pricy for the portion but I say it was worth it. Highly recommend!

A large group of us came here for lunch. It was not very busy. Was able to sample a bunch of stuff on the menu. Nice little bar and our waitress was very nice. I can imagine its pretty busy on game night, lots of TVs and a big bar. Sadly we had not been drinking at noon and noticed some of the food we ordered to be very so so. The prices were OK so we didn't feel bad. Food: Grilled Calamari: 1.5/5 Supposedly a famous dish and the reason we came here. Meh. It visually looked good but that's about it. The calamari was chewy and the lemon sauce was so overpowering. It should be called sour calamari. The calamari is breaded and drenched in the lemon sauce. Definitely get the lemon sauce on the side. Poutine: 4/5 Standard poutine and the fries were decent. Was a decent size 2. Gorgonzola Bacon Burger: 4/5 Pretty decent burger, needs more bacon. White pizza: 1/5 Not recommended. Taste like grease, mush and bread. Prob should try something with tomato sauce. Buffalo chicken wrap: 3/5 Nothing special. wrap on special menu( was a beef wrap i think?): 3/5 nothing special either about a subway wrap quality. Fish sandwich: 4/5 Quite yummy and messy. Oddly enough the onion rings were even better then the burger thou. Wish they gave a little more rings.

Excellent up scale bar food. Great customer service. Food was so fresh and tasted amazing! I would highly recommend coming. I had come after over heard several people rant about the grilled calamari and I have to say it was the best I've ever had! The olive oil lemon juice with the chopped tomatoes was heaven. I dipped the delicious bread in it after

Mojito - Cheap, but wasn't very strong either.

Tip: If you're drinking, maybe stick to beer! Atmosphere - 5/5 (especially during a sporting event, full of fans!) Food/Drink - 2-2.5/5 Much larger than it appears on the outside, Fred's is a sports bar with a neighbourhood feel AND an outdoor patio! I found the waitress was quite friendly. Food/drink, based on what I had (Margherita pizza, fish tacos, & mojito) were very mediocre. Drinks were low-priced, but I barely tasted any alcohol in my mojito, mint wasn't muddled enough. I guess the price:alcohol ratio were in-line. Not much taste in the pizza and fish tacos were edible, a bit on the bland side, I probably wouldn't order them again. Prices were average, definitely not cheap. I wouldn't be opposed to going back, but not in a hurry either.

Best local bar around! Staff is always great, food never disappoints and the atmosphere is great both inside and on the patio!

The place was absolutely packed and they did have a $30 minimum spend because of the game. Totally fair by the way considering how busy it gets. There were TVs everywhere, everyone was cheering, and the energy in the room was so much fun. If you're looking for somewhere to watch a big game with a crowd, I'd definitely recommend this spot. The service was good too. Our server was really nice and you could tell she was running around trying to help everyone because the restaurant was completely full. Even though it was busy, she still checked in on us when he could and made sure we had everything we needed. For food, we started with the spinach dip. I'd probably give it an 8/10. It was creamy, cheesy, and came out nice and hot with plenty for everyone to share. Definitely one of my favourite things we ordered. We also got the wings and ribs combo. One thing I'll say is their wing menu is HUGE. There were honestly so many flavours that it was almost overwhelming trying to decide. We ended up going with the Hot Honey Garlic wings, and I'd give them a 7.5/10. They were crispy and the sauce had a nice balance of sweet and spicy. The ribs were probably around a 5.5/10 for me. They weren't bad, but they didn't really stand out and I liked the wings a lot more. Overall, the food was decent, but it wasn't really anything I'd go out of my way for. That being said, the atmosphere completely makes up for it. Watching the game there with a packed crowd was so much fun, and that's really what this place is all about.

BAR 6IX SPORTS & WINGS …read more . located near square one, bar6ix offers an extensive food and drink menu. However, they're known for their chicken wings and beer and I can definitely see why now. The restaurant is very spacious with tons of TV's located throughout the restaurant so that no matter where you sit, you will be able to watch the sports events comfortably from your seat. . . 3lb chicken wings (2 flavours- Bar6ix and God's Plan) 4.5/5 mini pitcher of beer . . The chicken wings were very delicious! They are larger than wings from other places and were very flavourful and juicy. Though both flavours were good, God's Plan was my favourite (Honey Garlic, BBQ, Lemon and Pepper). The sauce was very savoury and addicting. Beer is also decently priced and pairs nicely with the wings. Highly recommend if you're looking for some wings!

The first area are high tables, the second area has roots and the third area has tables and is closed to the pool area. The place is really clean and looks new. Our server was friendly, albeit quite busy so she dropped drinks just by walking past, and we almost thought that she was not friendly but later on she did come and explain the wings flavour and realize that she was just busy. For the wings I would say that they aren't really huge rather. Are they more of a medium size what's good is that it seems like chicken wings it's heavily coated and the bones do not break up touch one thing about the wings here is that you can order one flavour for five wings, this will definitely make me come back. I really like the garlic Parmesan, the honey hot and the Monahans messy. They are coed with this sauce and I like it that way except for the honey hot one the reason I put one star is because the wings were on the dry side I hope they fix this. I did go during the wing night which is on Monday and I believe that their wings. $1.10 per wing. I think that they have these where there's actual entertainment. I saw a karaoke poster overall I will definitely go back. I enjoyed that it was clean. It was big there's some form of entertainment such as a pool table and the several flavours of wings.

Came with a side of raw veggies (celery/carrots). What I didn't like was the coated fries. Tasted like an unnecessary added flavour. This place could benefit from shoestring fries. The place was very casual. Not many people there & the service was fast. Lots of sports on TV's all over the place including one right at your table (but you cannot control whats being played). This could easily move to a 5-Star of they changed their fries around cause they NAILED the wings at this location! It's a do-over from me.

Service was honest and helpful, and I appreciated being told which menu items to avoid. I ordered a pasta dish that was said to be one of the more seasoned options, but it still came out bland and needed more flavor. The portion was large enough for leftovers and the chicken was cooked well. I also had a watermelon martini, which was really good and one of the highlights. There's a long list of wing flavors, which seems to be what they're best known for. The bathroom situation was honestly unacceptable. One stall had no door and was completely out of service with a garbage bag covering the toilet. The remaining stall had broken fixtures, and there was a large hole in the wall. It felt neglected and more like a dingy club bathroom than a restaurant, which really took away from the experience and made me question the overall cleanliness behind the scenes. Some positives, but the bathroom condition needs serious attention.
