In years previous we had been seeing a private accountant and decided to give Phoenician a try simply because they were conveniently located for us. We popped in and were directed to speak to Sam, who was helpful, and eager to help us out. We primarily had Abbas dealing with our income taxes and he really helped us get to the nitty gritty and dealt with all our spreadsheets in a most efficient manner. Any questions he had he contacted us by phone and email, which I really appreciated that he did both. They literally completed our taxes for this year in less them 72 hours. Plus they used the information from our taxes last year and offered that they could help us out on those ones as well because we felt they were incorrectly filed from our last accountant- right away they saw what was missing and were super great about also completing our taxes for 2015 in record time as well. Cost wise they were a really cost effective switch for us and I felt they offered services better than what our private accountant was offering. I have to put a little shout out to the front desk staff as well who are super friendly and always have a big smile for us when we come in. I disagreed but he filed for incorporation anyways. When i brought up my confusion and made it clear that is never what I wanted, he threatened me with collections and tricked me with a meeting but instead gave me a bill. I actually don't even know who my broker is because I am always receiving contact from other people. The broker I am constantly referred back to (Chelsea Thomas) has some of the worse attitude and customer service I have ever encountered. She truly should not be in the industry as you can tell that she doesn't enjoy her job. She constantly has a poor attitude and is extremely difficult to contact even for other brokers. She has been nothing but unhelpful and rude to me. I have been told multiple things by multiple people looking for resolutions but I am always brought back to Chelsea who ultimately tells me nothing can be done. She has actually done NOTHING to assist me other than telling me "she can't help". That has been the furthest extent of conversation from her. I almost wonder if she knows me personally and has some type of vendetta out for me, because I really have never been treated this poorly not even by her co workers. This company has taken over $900 from me that was unauthorized. They did not provide me informed consent, and are now being so ridiculously unavailable and unhelpful it's just mind boggling. It's crazy that it is easier to file a fraud claim with my bank than it is to try and just resolve the issue with Leibel. I quite like getting my money exchanged at ICE. Located on the departures 2nd floor of the airport,…read moreacross from security between the Air Canada and WestJet area, it is a very convenient location for me. There are other locations after getting through security as well. I always use the super easy Click and Collect feature online (or by phone, but I always use the web), which allows you to place your order up to a year ahead of time, and basically have your currency reserved and ready to be picked up free of service charges at the ICE location of your choice. You can then pay by cash or debit when you pick up. One thing I really like is that they will buy back any of your leftover currency (bills only) at the rate that you originally purchased at, at no service charge, upon presenting your original currency purchase receipt. So don't lose it! If they don't have your currency listed online, feel free to email or call the main company, as they say that they have access to over 75 currencies. They are pretty good with calling and emailing back right away. Note also that if you need something quickly, it might be best to call the ICE location directly. This is how I found out that they only place orders twice per week, on Wednesdays and Mondays before 11am. The one drawback with using ICE is that I don't think they have the best exchange rates as the rate I was quoted was quite a bit different from XE.com. However I don't know what kind of markup there usually is with currency exchanges so I don't know how good or bad it really is. Overall I love the convenience of ICE's services and the decent customer service so I will probably still keep using it!
