5 stars, but I'm a little biased. I think what this organization does is amazing. Helping people…read morethat are in trouble debt wise is extremely admirable. Every individual I have met at this organization is kind and compassionate, which is exactly what people who are swimming in debt need. Originally funded by the Government of Alberta Money Mentors is the only organization that can set up an OPD (orderly payment of debt) program for you which consolidates all your debts and comes up with a payment plan for you so that you don't have to declare bankruptcy. Coaching people with their money is something I would love to get into as a career and I'm happy to announce that Money Mentors is making steps into the community. This means educating young people so that they don't end up in situations where their debt is over-whelming. Money Mentors in Edmonton now has extended hours which gives flexibility to a variety of individuals and they also offer one free financial fitness class a month which focuses on setting you up for a strong financial future. Go check them out, you have nothing to lose, you can only gain peace of mind and better money management skills!

Their counselors treat people with the dignity and respect that all human beings deserve regardless of how deep in the hole you might be. On the flip side of things they also offer courses and coaching on budgeting as well as money management if you haven't quite hit a low yet but just have concerns about how you spend your money and how to reach your financial goals quicker. They are a not for profit service so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by checking them out. The security and peace of mind you will gain is well worth it!

BRUTAL!!! Just like the other reviews said, I signed up for credit reports and never received them…read more Couldn't access them via logging into my account either. Called Customer Service only to be passed around. 4 different numbers later, poor signal and agents who could barely speak English.... needless to say nothing was resolved. After two months of payments and no reports I called Customer Service back and demanded a refund. Apparently the payments will be refunded and my "account" closed. Let's see. I wouldn't bother with Transunion. So far Equifax has been slightly more helpful.

Unreal. I wanted to check my credit score ONE TIME online. I put in all the required information…read moreand was prepared to pay the fee for a one time viewing. It turns out that I unknowingly signed up for a monthly monitoring program for $19.99 a month. I called for information regarding the numbers on the report and the lady was pretty useless. I understand that credit hits vary when you create an inquiry, like applying for a new credit card, but she couldn't even give me a ballpark answer for how many points could be deducted from my score for such a thing. She said it was up to the company?? Then, when I didn't notice a loan application from June on my report, she said that the creditor could have run my credit through Equifax, not Transunion, and that those credit checks don't show up on the Transunion report. So not only did I get swindled into signing up for a monthly fee (which I had to pay the first $19.99, then she cancelled it so hopefully I don't get charged again), but that monthly fee is only for potentially half a credit report!! Whatever happens through Equifax doesn't show up on a Transunion report, and vice versa. DON'T DO IT! Just try to limit credit checks as much as possible, you can't see everything on their reports anyway. What a rip-off, she did not freely offer this information either, I found out through serious questioning as she was not very forthcoming with info. STAY AWAY!
