Yet he would let me see another colleague in his practice. This is the most unprofessional practice. Never being concerned about my well being or how I was feeling. Now I must make another appointment with another gastroenterologist. I absolutely do not recommend this practice or Dr. Ellis. I would give home no stars if I could.

I had to come here as Social Security assigned him to me to do my Disability evaluation. From the…read moremoment I walked in the door the staff was hostile and rude and ableist openly making fun of me. Dr. Mark refused to wear a mask and actually slammed the door on my walker! He also had his receptionist slam the receptionist window in my face because I asked them to wear a respirator in an ongoing airborne pandemic. The receptionists also threatened to call the police on me because I asked for a letter saying he was refusing to do the examination for disability and refusing accessible accommodations. This is the only time I have ever reported a medical healthcare worker to the Florida Dept of Health as well as the AMA. This is not a doctor that should be allowed to practice and should never be assigned to vulnerable immune compromised patients from the social security disability office. I was thankfully assigned a different doctor for my evaluation who did mask with their staff and was the exact opposite of this office. I would say run away but if you are disabled then get out of there as soon as you are physically able to do so. Never ever go here. If I could give a negative review I would of below zero I would.

I was told I couldn't get the prescriptions I've been taking for many years due to having not been in for a checkup within the last 6 months. I then asked them to check to see the last time I was in which was less than 4 months ago. I was then told that well, it's close to 6 months ago, so we refuse to refill your medications unless you come in. Basically, they want to charge my insurance for an unnecessary visit. He really takes the time to both understand your issue and to explain his treatment. He has proven to be incredibly knowledgeable no matter I have thrown at him. Now I'm being told I have to schedule a telehealth appointment and pay another copay just to get the dose change that was already discussed. I understand that medication changes may require a doctor visit, but if the change was already addressed during my last appointment, I don't think I should have to pay again because it wasn't completed properly.
