Worst customer service! I have been with ALL-STATE for years! I was originally under my father's policy since I was 18 until I got my own... He spoke highly of this place. Being that he's my dad, I trusted him. Fast forward to last week, I have emailed them requesting for a different draft date. Unfortunately, they can't just change the draft date but are willing to "suspend" the payment. I'd have to just call and make a manual payment. Which is fine with me. Was paying my bills online and noticed that they went ahead and drafted my account anyway. I emailed them Monday about it, and it's been 2 days, I have not heard from anyone. read more

I've been a customer of Joaquin Insurance Agency (JIA) for about 3 years now. I have an auto and homeowners insurance policy with them. They also helped me find earthquake insurance through another reputable company. I was a previous Mercury Insurance customer for decades. I stuck with Mercury only because my parents were previous customers. But one day, I decided, what the heck. I'll shop around and see what else is out there. And I'm so glad I found JIA! Rates: Very very competitive. I found JIA's auto and homeowner policy premiums less expensive than Mercury's, and for equal, if not, better coverage! Customer Service: TOP NOTCH A+ ! Every month, I get an email updating me on anything related to JIA, billing, and Allstate. I also get an occasional email from the owner, Fred Joaquin, following up on any changes in my life, what my needs are, etc. I also get notifications when my monthly premium decreases due to improved driving records! Very cool! I got in a car accident in 2010 (not my fault) and the claim i filed with JIA was, hands down, the most effortless experience I've encountered in insurance claims . I worked with Fred and Sol on a renter's insurance policy years ago, and they were so nice and attentive that when I was in the market again recently, they were the only ones I considered calling. True, there office is quite busy (which is always the case with success) but I am very used to that since I work in a similar environment. This time I worked specifically with Melissa, and she was not deterred at all by how detailed I am when it comes to what I'm looking for. In the end I think I had her do 6 quotes total for a Renter's and Earthquake policy, and she made me feel completely comfortable doing so because it was important to find the best fit for my needs. read more

I've been through about 3 or 4 different insurance agencies and I'm glad I finally found an agency full of friendly, attentive and knowledgable people. I can't express how grateful I was to be recommended here. It seems like the only way to find a great place and great people to do business with now a days is through a recommendation. I've been apart of the Joaquin insurance agency for as much as 4-5 yrs now and everyone there has always been so helpful when I have random questions about random insurance stuff. You know when you have a friend that tells you one thing and you're too lazy to google the right answer (insurance related of course)...? My thought process is why not get the answer straight from the source? Ask my agent, I bug him all the time. Needless to say, he's always patient with the types of questions I have... Whether it be about my plan, a quote for a car I'm considering getting or a random hearsay question I heard a friend talking about. Anyway, as much as I love the people and level or service at the Joaquin insurance agency, I would only recommend them to my friends and family. If you're not one of those, you can't hang with the cool kids. Contacted them couple times trying to get a home insurance for a property recently bought, the receptionist on the phone said the person handling it is busy. So I left my number, but nobody called me back. I had to call back couple times to get a quote. Then I asked the agent to change some parts of the deductibles and premiums...etc via email. Well, never hear from them again. Apparently Allstate agents are all too busy to care about your business. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I have been with Allstate for about 12 years and recently my policy was transferred to Fred Joaquin's office. Worst customer service ever! First they never answer the phone, then IF for some reason they do, they will disconnect my call simply because they had no answers for the questions I had. I attempted to cancel my policy and even that was an issue for them, as they couldn't even email me a simple cancellation form to sign! It took me numerous phone calls and about 3 hours dealing with Rachel and Julie to receive the form. They couldn't even properly take down my phone number or email! Rachel and Julie were extremely rude trying to blame me for the fact that I did not receive their email. However, how do you receive an email that has never been sent, or was it sent to someone else? Finally after 3 hours of dealing with several incompetent representatives, I was able to provide them with another email address and sign the cancellation and to finally be done with the Fred Joaquin's office's drama! In fact, while writing this review I received a text message from their office which was intended to be sent to someone else, and probably that person is waiting to be contacted...! I do not recommend this office unless you want to deal with incompetent and rude representatives like Rachel and Julie! read more

The WORST customer service ever! First, good luck getting anyone to call you back when you have a question about your policy. And when you do actually get one of their completely inept agents on the phone, talk about being misleading and completely incapable of properly communicating any policy changes to you. After I raised my deductibles and removed some coverage options to save $, I received two letters for the same EXACT policy period--one notifying my rate would be going down (it did... but just for one month) and another notifying me that it would be going up--and the agent could not for the life of her explain why! I have been with Joaquin Insurance Agency for quite a few years now and I can say I didn't have any problems with them. I've tried a few insurance companies before but I was satisfied with this one. My agent, Joy Miranda was the best insurance agent I had. During those years I believe I had a couple of incidents with my car and she handled and took care of it immediately. I got a great rate online from Allstate, and decided to call the local agent, with a few questions. My parents have had All state with this office for 20 years or so and I had both of my cars insured as well. We made some changes to the owners of the cars on the policy and I ended up having to get my own insurance. So since my parents have had allstate, I wanted to use them as well. So I called and asked for the rep my parents were being helped by, Soleded V. and was told she was with a client and would call me back, so I waited 2 hours and got no called back so I called back and I was told she was on her lunch and I would get a call back in the order I called. I waited another 2 hours and I did not get a call back so I asked for her email and emailed and tried to call one last time. I was told she was with a client and she would call me by end of day that day or the end of day the following day. I informed the receptionist that I technically have no car insurance and I need to get it so I have it starting today and if she does not call me by the end of day, I will just go a different company. She apologized for the wait and said she would let Soledad know. Until now, I have not received a call back and I chose to go to a company who actually cares about their clients. I understand offices can be busy now but maybe someone else can call back and assist or at least start something. I am very disappointed in this place. read more

I have been dealing with the JIA Team for the last couple of years. They are very professional and accomodating to your personal needs. They take the time to explain the things that at times can be confusing to those who don' t work in the insurance business. Not only are they a great business they are also a giving business. They have supported the National Latino Peace Officers Association with their annual 5K/10K Menudo Run which provides scholarships for High School Seniors who are going on to college.
