I racked up well over 5 speeding tickets within a 6 month period due to long distance commuting to an from San Jose. Both my insurance companies (Infinity Auto/Geico MC) collected a pretty penny from me for the premiums they charged for two cars with full coverage and liability for my bike. Long story short Nick Ghukasyan was able to cut my premium in half what I was paying a month with infinity auto ($316.00 mo to $175.00 mo) and totally killed what I had already paid up front for my bike insurance ($1032.00 a yr to $with Geico. He even stayed on the phone all the way thru to call each insurance company so I could get my money back on those premiums. I was shocked to find out about my insurance companies adding points to my driving record in there systems to charge me HIGHER PREMIUMS!!! I had 9 (Infinity Auto) and 10 points (Geico). I actually have a total of 5 points due to one of my speeding tickets was exceeding 100 mph which was 2 points itself. I know trust me I'll never do that again, SonomaRaceway for when I feel compelled to do a 140+! My recommendation if you have a few speeding tickets and want a fair rate check with RoadGuard nice name as they do guard you from being swindled by big name insurance companies. I actually saved a TON switching from Geico and Infinity and these days saving even an extra few dollars helps! I will definitely start a petition that will force insurance companies to use the exact same points as it appears on your DRIVING RECORD! BEST RATES AND MOST HELPFUL!! I just bought a new car (Hyundai veloster) and I've been looking for insurance. I have 2 accidents, so my quotes are through the roof. I've probably talked to over 20 different insurance agents/brokers and couldn't be happier to go with Roadguard. Why? Two reasons: they got me the cheapest deal and we're very helpful with explaining everything. If you look at my other reviews, you'll see I have no problem complaining about bad service Haha Anyways, Nick was the guy who helped me out. He wasn't pushy (when almost every other brokers from other companies were). AMAZING! had to switch insurance has renewal was coming up and my insurance was jacking up payment by like 60 went from 79-130 because of two fender benders. Nick @roadguard not only gave me a quote that was much lower but true, he didn't give me the quote then try to screw me when it came to actually signing paperwork, signed today and he gave me everything he said, even better as he knocked 25 off so down payment was less than 200 and my monthly is less than 60 compared to if I wouldn't of chosen roadguard my insurance payments would be 130. WHAT A GEM!!!! I found this place through Yelp, of course. They had THE CHEAPEST rates all around and trust me, I looked around. You do have to pay your broker a one time fee but after that, you are set. My agent is Art and he is just the best. Any time I need to adjust my policy, he is ON TOP of it. He tries his best to make sure all changes are made the day requested. He has phenomenal communication. When I can't reach him on the phone I either leave a msg at his office and he calls back by the end of the day or I email him and he always gets back to me. Great staff. Very friendly. Having never heard of them before, I was a bit skeptical. Over the last two+ years, however, I have received nothing but excellent service from Art, my agent. Just this week I had an insurance emergency where I needed to add my Fiancé immediately with some strange minimum requirements from her work. Her agent had quoted her almost $600/mo, and had stalled all day, even though he knew she had till the end of the day to have her insurance done (per employer). I called Art an hour before closing time and by close we had a new policy covering both of our vehicles for under $300 a month! I signed up got into a accident.. then was told I was not covered 5 months latter car is still damaged the other party wants to sew dmv wants to take my licence and road guard is no where to be found. This review has been long over due, I had this insurance broker for 4 years,in the beginning because it was cheep but as you know you get what you pay for. My agent was Art he was a lying,conniving salesman who bargained like you were buying a used car changing prices left and right to keep the sale. He told me when I bought a newer truck there would be a 1 time processing fee of $250 and my rate would only go up slightly. Well it was not a 1 time fee the Insurance company also wanted a processing fee of $165 and my rates went up significantly higher. Just because its cheep doesn't make it good. Yes they do have the cheapest insurance on the market other than the comparible freeway auto insurance and alliance united auto insurance that I have noticed. But you pay for what you get. This company did not file my SR 22 form when they claimed that they did, this resulting in the dmv suspending my license without any notice. I had to take the day off work and pay to get my license reinstated and roadguard would not reimburse me. Now it shows on my driving record of the suspension which looks bad causing my insurance rates to go up. Rafael was my agent and he was the most unpleasant man I have ever had to deal with. When I got in a accident, I had liability and I called to report that I hit a car, his reaction was, "why are you calling? You have liability you don't need to call us or report something unless your fully insured." I was shocked, its illegal to not report an accident. How does Rafael have a job for an insurance company when he doesn't know the laws? So i finally get to report my accident through someone else and later on AAA the other persons insurance bills me for the accident because they were unable to get through to my insurance. Road guard wouldn't answer the phone or respond to AAA. I had to deal with black hawk claims and roadguard attempting countless hours of calling and leaving messages. It took over a week to get a hold of them and to pass my bill over. My experience was horrible and wouldn't want to go through with this again. This is much delayed review but this needs to be put down as matter of fact. I was was looking lower rates for my car insurance which at that point was having very high coverage. I was approached by Art for getting my details and also providing a quote. After much discussion I was provided with good rate for same coverage and I proceeded with my payment of the insurance . However after payment Art backtracked on the coverage saying it is gonna is less coverage as compared to previous quote which was quite less and which was initiated only after my signing of the document had happened . When I tried to say that I do not want to proceed with them , somehow he tried to convey payment processing had started and I had no other choice. I had somehow managed to not to proceed with them , however pretty unethical and people without integrity. His tone also had changed later after the payment was done. Watch out everyone.
