First we rode an interurban car for a short portion of their track. Then we took a tour of their facility starting with their bee garden through their shop and finishing with a ride on their velocipede and modified pump car. Because it was a special event, we had a catered lunch (they use the catering business next door), which was simple, delicious, and way better than a boxed lunch. We finished the afternoon with a final ride on their Queen Car -- Connaught 1304 car. We had a good time. It was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, so I would recommend checking them out for a few hours one afternoon or hosting an event there.

Our 3 y/o daughter loves trains and we had seen the train a couple month prior (I think they were preparing and maybe advertising) going down the tracks as we drove along side them. The volunteers were all very lovely. There were a lot of them, probably 10+ people. I was at first sticker shocked at the admission prices but the train ride was almost an hour. The commentary from one of the volunteers was great. He provided a lot of history and facts on the first half of the stretch. It was a bit of a long ride for our daughter, she was good to go after the first 20 mins. There are also no washrooms onboard once you leave the station, obviously, so you have to make sure you go before you leave. They had a simulator that you could drive while you waited for your train to depart. She really enjoyed that! I'd recommend this attraction if you can afford it. It cost us $50 for our family of three. Adults are $20 & kids 2-11 years are $10.

Tastings cost $5 per person and can be applied towards the purchase of a bottle. When we came, they offered 8 whites and 3 reds on the tasting menu. We tried all the reds and five whites. The following were our favorites: Favorite white - Siegerrebe and Suzee Quattro Favorite red - Three Amigos We ended up buying 6 bottles - one of the Siegerrebe, two of the Suzee Quattro, and three bottles of Pinot Noir since it was wine of the month and was on sale (2 bottles for the price of 3). I'm so glad we stopped by this winery. We loved the wine and will be back to stock up!

There was nothing called as customer service facility kind of thing. Though one or two people working in the wine tasting room were nice friendly and polite. Small tasting room with maximum of 6 people seating arrangements and another 4 could stand in queue ( that small). Towards one corner are stored empty barrels for $150.00 /each. Right in middle is a barn used for events etc but not opened to general public. Could be rented. I am guessing owners house is in another corner as there is a bungalow on one side but i might be wrong. Wine yards are parallel on both side of the front yard. Its popularity was more than i thought. As we were there for over half an hour, we noticed visitors ,frequenters flocking the place on scooters, bikes. Its coz this is quite central to surrey and on the other side to vancouver. Well all have fun touring wine yards.

We loved the mini-avalanche training and felt very safe the whole time. It was an awesome ratio 2 guides on two separate snowmobiles to 2 of us in the group on 1 snowmobile. Gary completed a full safety training session with us, which was needed as most of us were beginners. Once he was sure that we were ready to go, off we went. It was challenging and so much fun! We enjoyed fresh air, fun, breathtaking views and scenery, and Gary led the way safely and securely so we could all enjoy our tour, and arrive back safe and sound. I felt so accomplished, having completed some of what I would consider the most difficult team building I have ever done. I was nervous at times, but I have to say that Gary completely allayed my concerns, a consummate professional, with a great sense of humor and fun, never once made me feel like we were in danger. This was one of the BEST days of my life, and I have drawn on this so many times as a motivator and a reminder of what I am truly capable of accomplishing. I would highly recommend this company, to anyone considering a safe and fun outdoor adventure, no matter what your skill level is. So much fun! Thanks again JAG Adventures, you made our day!

It…read morewas a beautiful sunny day, and Kolby found all the shady spots for us to stand in while she shared her obviously well-researched stories about the fun local people have been getting up to since Whatcom was first founded. Kolby is an articulate, engaging weaver of tales, and her vintage costume added to the ambiance. She was armed with old photos of the buildings we discussed in our 1.5, one-ish mile tour. The photos were fascinating, because many of the buildings no longer exist, and the rest of them have been altered in the meantime. This was my second tour with Kolby, the first being a virtual tour of the Bayview Cemetery during Covid. My goal is to join all the tours at some point. The cost is well worth the value given, and it's a great thing to do when guests visit. Birthday present, anyone?

But still, co-owner and guide Wren Urbigkit felt compelled to tell us that cursing and cleavage are key components of the tours. Because some people have missed that memo. Those who see Bellingham as a politically-correct college town may experience strong reactions when they hear how the town came to be. Without sharing too many of the tour's secrets, here are a few insights: Working girls were seen as a necessary evil by some wives, to keep bearded, flannel-sporting young men away from their daughters. And their bosses, madams, were seen by colleagues of many male entrepreneurs. And for those who think Bellingham is experiencing crazy growth now, wait until you hear about the late 1800s! The tour wraps up with adult beverages at Stones Throw Brewery, which has a parking spot dedicated to one of the afore-mentioned madams, Miss Annie.
