Franks is a local Godsend. The family owned grocer is a staple stop during the weekly shop. The customer service is very home-grown, the shelves are attentively replenished and there are always surprisingly low prices in spite of the economic downturn. Franks Superstore appears to be untouched by the recession and have not noticeably changed their prices, yeah!
A store highlight is the meat counter, where Frank himself will slice you some garlic sausage or German salami (100g for under £1). Other favourites include the fresh cakes, delicious pate, extensive bath products and the glass milk bottles (so traditional!) Another popular portion of the store is the booming sandwich counter that I am yet to sample. read more
