Back again to try something different on the menu and it didn't disappoint! I ordered the caramel cappuccino and it's delicious. My sandwich of choice is as the Broadway Street Toast and it didn't disappoint! So flavorful! well toasted bread, fresh tomatoes, baratta, cheese and basil were fantastically paired together! Service was friendly, as typical, and quick. The cafe was quiet with lovely light jazz piano music being played which fit the cool morning perfectly. Only thing that could elevate the ambiance here is if they had a fire place. The place is spotless and charming. A must stop in when you're in the area. read more

Stop here! Support small business. We stopped here after lunch in Sparta (we are staying in warrens) and I wanted an iced coffee from a non chain coffee shop. Franklin hit the mark. Such a cute coffee shop with ridiculously inexpensive coffee. Like $6 for 2 iced coffee with tip. And it was one of the best coffee's I've had! I just happened to see this place while I was driving through downtown one day, and decided to stop on my way back. I am so glad I did! This place is wonderful! It is a small little place with cute, intimate decoration. It feels like you're sitting in someone's living room - I would design my living room off of this shop! Everyone behind the counter was incredibly nice! You have the usual selection of coffee and espresso drinks ranging from the plain/regular to drinks with all of the things and flavors. I am not a tea person, but it also seemed like they had an impressive selection of loose-leaf teas. There were also smoothie and smoothie bowl options, which I didn't end up trying but the ingredients made them sound delightful! Definitely a good and healthy breakfast on the go if you need that. This would be a good space to sit and catch up with a friend, sit solo and do some work on the computer (free wifi), or just sit down and read a book. It's in a neat older building downtown, so not wheelchair accessible. If you like your espresso drinks strong and without a bunch of the frou-frou, I would definitely recommend ordering an extra shot or two. I had to order an espresso to throw in my latte, and it was not the largest espresso shot in the world. For my 16oz iced latte, I would definitely order 2 extra shots next time. I'd highly recommend this place to locals and visitors! A neat find! read more

The quintessential coffee shop! The coffee is good and the food is too. I haven't had a bad thing from here, whether it's a baked good or one of their menu items. I usually go with the Wall St. Sammy but, their biscuits and gravy are also very good. Plenty of seating to dine in. If you're on the run, the staff will have your order completed quickly. The staff is always friendly too. Don't drive by this place. Stop in and give them a try! read more

This place is a needed gem in downtown Sparta. They roast Bella Goose coffee and I had the Colombia roast, it was super unique and had chocolate notes :) the staff was welcoming and friendly, menu was clear and the space was clean and bright. If you're in Sparta, check this place out! read more

Really nice little coffee house, almost literally a house. When you say small business, emphasize the small. Fairly nice selection, not much staff or room for any. The coffee is well made and flavorful. It's off the beaten track but looks like it gets a fair share of business, so it has to be good enough often enough that the townies seek it out. I will probably stop in again some time. read more

This coffee shop is owned and operated by a girl barely out of high school, which I think is really impressive. And she does a heck of a job too! I had a flat white with almond milk and it was one of the best I've had. The almond milk used is delicious, which makes a huge difference. The atmosphere is clean, cozy, and calm, and a great place to relax and work or read a book. It might be nice if they offered more food (currently just desserts and smoothie bowls) but I really have no complaints about this place! Check it out! read more

Delicious coffee beverages, baked treats and great service. Everyone, both employee and customer, were great. The place isn't the biggest, but it doesn't need to be. The seating and table setup was convenient and comfortable. The girlfriend and I were able to work remotely there while enjoying a few of their different beverages. Not pictured but enjoyed: lavender & mint latte and a... mango something smoothie. My only... only critique is that the smoothies do not qualify with the punch card. Everything else was great. Love this little shop!! I moved to Sparta from the Chicago area where coffee shops like this are on every corner. It was something I was missing a ton so I was so happy to see that there would be one coming right to our little downtown. I've tried the coffee, tea, smoothies, and baked goods and everything is delicious. The cinnamon rolls are to die for. Props for opening the only coffee shop in town and for having some free wifi for those who don't have a place to go. ... but can you make some decent coffee? Not sure if its the coffee, the water, or the process, but every drink I've had at Franklin is TERRIBLE. First experience: my cold brew tasted like they scooped the water from a gutter. I drank about 30% of it over the course of like an hour - with each sip, i gagged a little. I went back up to the counter to get a latte instead - which i had to pay for (hello, what happened to customer satisfaction?). I am appalled that in 2018, there is only a choice of soy milk. Second experience: I asked the barista about the cold brew since I was so traumatized by it weeks before. The barista had NO CLUE what he was serving - he might as well have said IDGAF. So I opted for espresso over ice (which is my go-to back home). First of all... HEY BARISTA, when you're brewing HOT espresso, you don't catch it in a plastic cup without any ice. (smh). How can something so simple taste so bad? The bold citrus notes of the coffee they're using is terrible.... you're better off getting bottled cold brew starbucks coffee at the KwikTrip. read more

Try a house favorite if you want something sweet! The only reason this review didn't get 5's is because some people there suffer from RBF. Very cute coffee shop in downtown Sparta. I would give this coffee shop a better rating but they need to work on their customer service. I have been in this coffee shop several times and I think I have been greeted maybe twice and I have never been thanked for stopping. No matter how good your coffee is, having your customers feel welcome and letting them know you appreciate their business that is what's going to keep them coming back. read more
