I am obsessed w certain monthly flavors of Hudson North cider. Last year I sadly missed their salted watermelon 4 packs - and when I was playing on my phone yesterday I thought about how I didn't want to miss them this year. I checked their site and saw that Franklin Bev had already had them in stock!!! I haven't been since they were located across the street so I put on my back pack and headed over. What a great little shop! They had my cider both on the rack and cold in the fridge. They also had a bunch of cans on sale too. The worker there was great - so nice and helpful. Great local beer distribution. It has alot of cheap brands to more craft brands. You can most likely find something to appeal to your taste. The employees are fairly nice to help out and are fairly attentive. The beers are store openly but they do have a ok size walk in freezer. Their location is fairly open and I did see a shipment of beer left outside in the son. I'm no beer expert or Brewster but I feel heat would change the make up and taste of beer. That is my only negative comment for this place. Overall, it's a nice place to grab some beers and then chill with your boys. read more

Pros- Great selection of beer. Con- There are no price tags on any of the beer. I wanted to to get decently priced beer, but had no idea what the beers cost. So I had to lug a few different cases to the cashier, get them to tell me the price of each one, before making a decision. In search of beer by the case??? Well, then look no farther because Franklin Beverage is the solution to your adult beverage problems.... or maybe the cause of your problems. It's not the biggest beer distributor you'll ever visit but space is limited in Center City, so deal with it! Here is why you need to give these guys your business: 1. Decent selection of garden variety beers AND some great micros & limited production brews. 2. The guys that run this place are knowledgeable and super friendly. Seriously, these guys are very nice and helpful.... not all distributors can boast this quality. 3. Last and MOST IMPORTANT.... they deliver!!! If you have a large order or have a picnic, company event, or maybe entertaining a lot of people.... these guys will deliver to you. I don't recall them mentioning a delivery fee but of course, you will want to tip them. We had a company softball game near the Please Touch Museum and they were more than willing to deliver. Great for beer delivery! I ordered two cases at 615 and they arrived by 7. There was a 5 dollar charge but the overall prices are very good. It's so hard to find cases in the city and this is the perfect solution. Didn't even have to leave my room. Overall super easy I would definantly use them again. read more

If you've read any of my other reviews, you know I like beer. A lot. And I'm kind of a snob when it comes to this beverage (yes, I will judge you if you tell me you think Miller Lite is delicious). I started going to Franklin Beverage because I live literally 76 feet away and I value convenience when I'm talking about alcohol purchases, but I continue to go to F.B. because of the great selection, great service, and great prices. The back freezer is always stocked, and the front area (room temp, if you may) has even more. The staff is friendly, super helpful, and is even willing to make special orders if you have a burning desire for a brew they don't have on site.There are also signs plastered all over the place saying they deliver, so...yeah, there's that as an added bonus. And, for those of you who don't drink, Franklin Beverage sells ice and soda. I'm addicted to Diet Coke and am thrilled I can now buy it by the case for cheap. Just a helpful reminder: the only way to buy beer at F.B. is by the case. That's right, a whole 24 bottles. So don't be that guy who walks in and tries to pay for a 6-pack. Do not purchase from this store!!!! I ordered a keg from them and the delivery was fine. I had to leave deposits for the keg, totaling around $100. In order to schedule pick-up, I called a total of four times to try to schedule, with them canceling on me for three of them. Three days after they finally picked it up, I hadn't received my $100 deposit back, so I called to check in. They told me that it takes 5-7 business days for it to show up in my bank account. NINE DAYS after the keg was picked up i called AGAIN because I still hadn't received my deposit. The guy on the phone checked on my order this time, and told me that they had never sent my deposit back to me! I told him how frustrating this was and he didn't even apologize once! tl;dr: super unprofessional, you have to call 1000 times to get them to do their job! read more

They carry Banana Bread Beer. 5 stars for that alone! This place is so tucked away [at least for me] , din't know about it for the longest time till someone took me there. I just love how the whole store is, pretty small but just feels welcoming to me. They have a little sitting place at the back and you can get cold sandwiches if you like. I don't think they don't not have anything. I live in Art Museum and we wanted some beer pretty late and this was a 5 min drive. So convenient! read more

Though it's a tiny distributor, it's got a nice range of beers (from Coors to Microbrews) and a stocked freezer. The dude who runs the place is super friendly and helpful. No Harpoon Summer, but a much more pleasant experience than Stones. read more

Not much to say here-good beer, good prices, and quite convenient as well. It's small, but as other folks have said, this is Center City.
