I am obsessed w certain monthly flavors of Hudson North cider. Last year I sadly missed their salted watermelon 4 packs - and when I was playing on my phone yesterday I thought about how I didn't want to miss them this year. I checked their site and saw that Franklin Bev had already had them in stock!!! I haven't been since they were located across the street so I put on my back pack and headed over. What a great little shop! They had my cider both on the rack and cold in the fridge. They also had a bunch of cans on sale too. The worker there was great - so nice and helpful. I left with a heavy back pack of bevs!! I am planning to go back for more lol bc I don't want to wait another year to get more HN salted watermelon haha. read more

Visiting Philly for the first time and this was the closest place to get booze. Workers there were very kind with helping with what you're looking for and gave out some Pumpkin lager samples! A very great welcoming and down to earth place! read more

Have been going here for years. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff with a great selection of beer.

Great local beer distribution. It has alot of cheap brands to more craft brands. You can most likely find something to appeal to your taste. The employees are fairly nice to help out and are fairly attentive. The beers are store openly but they do have a ok size walk in freezer. Their location is fairly open and I did see a shipment of beer left outside in the son. I'm no beer expert or Brewster but I feel heat would change the make up and taste of beer. That is my only negative comment for this place. Overall, it's a nice place to grab some beers and then chill with your boys. read more

Pros- Great selection of beer. Con- There are no price tags on any of the beer. I wanted to to get decently priced beer, but had no idea what the beers cost. So I had to lug a few different cases to the cashier, get them to tell me the price of each one, before making a decision. Then I had to drag the rest of the beer that I did not want back to their respective shelves. read more

The absolute best. Joe is super helpful and all the staff are really nice and accommodating. I've had a few parties and they help with beer selection AND delivery AND they sell/deliver ice AND let me use their big tubs to hold everything in. The place is really clean with great hours too. Definitely support them! read more

In search of beer by the case??? Well, then look no farther because Franklin Beverage is the solution to your adult beverage problems.... or maybe the cause of your problems. It's not the biggest beer distributor you'll ever visit but space is limited in Center City, so deal with it! Here is why you need to give these guys your business: 1. Decent selection of garden variety beers AND some great micros & limited production brews. 2. The guys that run this place are knowledgeable and super friendly. Seriously, these guys are very nice and helpful.... not all distributors can boast this quality. 3. Last and MOST IMPORTANT.... they deliver!!! If you have a large order or have a picnic, company event, or maybe entertaining a lot of people.... these guys will deliver to you. I don't recall them mentioning a delivery fee but of course, you will want to tip them. We had a company softball game near the Please Touch Museum and they were more than willing to deliver. We ended up not needing them to but it's a GREAT option. Seriously, you won't regret giving these guys your business. read more

Great for beer delivery! I ordered two cases at 615 and they arrived by 7. There was a 5 dollar charge but the overall prices are very good. It's so hard to find cases in the city and this is the perfect solution. Didn't even have to leave my room. Overall super easy I would definantly use them again. read more

Franklin Beverage - Beer delivered to my apartment! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

This is a great (small) asset to the neighborhood. Selling cases of beer, soda and ice. Believe me - when you need it -it's great to have someone who sells ice. Bring cash. read more

If you've read any of my other reviews, you know I like beer. A lot. And I'm kind of a snob when it comes to this beverage (yes, I will judge you if you tell me you think Miller Lite is delicious). I started going to Franklin Beverage because I live literally 76 feet away and I value convenience when I'm talking about alcohol purchases, but I continue to go to F.B. because of the great selection, great service, and great prices. The back freezer is always stocked, and the front area (room temp, if you may) has even more. The staff is friendly, super helpful, and is even willing to make special orders if you have a burning desire for a brew they don't have on site. There are also signs plastered all over the place saying they deliver, so...yeah, there's that as an added bonus. And, for those of you who don't drink, Franklin Beverage sells ice and soda. I'm addicted to Diet Coke and am thrilled I can now buy it by the case for cheap. Just a helpful reminder: the only way to buy beer at F.B. is by the case. That's right, a whole 24 bottles. So don't be that guy who walks in and tries to pay for a 6-pack. And really, who doesn't want more beer for less money? Exactly. read more

Decent selection of beer. Do they have hard alcohol here? It wasn't a lot. I was just looking for a six pack either way. It doesn't matter, it was close by the Air BnB which was good enough. read more

Do not purchase from this store!!!! I ordered a keg from them and the delivery was fine. I had to leave deposits for the keg, totaling around $100. In order to schedule pick-up, I called a total of four times to try to schedule, with them canceling on me for three of them. Three days after they finally picked it up, I hadn't received my $100 deposit back, so I called to check in. They told me that it takes 5-7 business days for it to show up in my bank account. NINE DAYS after the keg was picked up i called AGAIN because I still hadn't received my deposit. The guy on the phone checked on my order this time, and told me that they had never sent my deposit back to me! I told him how frustrating this was and he didn't even apologize once! tl;dr: super unprofessional, you have to call 1000 times to get them to do their job! read more

They carry Banana Bread Beer. 5 stars for that alone! This place is so tucked away [at least for me] , din't know about it for the longest time till someone took me there. I just love how the whole store is, pretty small but just feels welcoming to me. They have a little sitting place at the back and you can get cold sandwiches if you like. I don't think they don't not have anything. I live in Art Museum and we wanted some beer pretty late and this was a 5 min drive. So convenient! read more

Though it's a tiny distributor, it's got a nice range of beers (from Coors to Microbrews) and a stocked freezer. The dude who runs the place is super friendly and helpful. No Harpoon Summer, but a much more pleasant experience than Stones. read more

ALWAYS comes through with last minute beer and ice needs! A true lifesaver on many occasions!! Joe is especially friendly and helpful

If you need beers delivered in Philly, Franklin in the spot to go. Dan & Joe helped us choose a great selection of beers for our wedding and made sure it came in prime time along with a bunch of ice. They have great service and communication skills. Will definitely be using for future events. read more

I couldn't tell you where another beer distributor is in the city. Luckily never had to find one; I love this spot! Great selection, prices, and super easy to pick up (even better -- they deliver!) The guys who work here are extremely nice and helpful and I'm happy to call them neighbors. Highly recommend this spot, always a good experience! read more

While they have a decent selection - they are WAY overpriced! And there selection of singles is poor. Luckily I found a "gold mine" place called Old Philly Ale House nearby...amazing selection and the proprietor knows details on each and every beer...and a great selection of singles. read more

Not much to say here-good beer, good prices, and quite convenient as well. It's small, but as other folks have said, this is Center City. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the beer in the fridge is cold. They deliver too, which is great if you're having a get together or you don't have wheels. read more

Great beer distributor! The staff is really friendly and helpful. Lots of Nugget Nectar in stock when the other places were out!

A great little beverage center in Fairmount. They have a solid selection of both craft and domestic beers, and if they don't have what you're looking for they'll special order it! Joe made sure to get me some Bell's HopSlam! read more

Came to Philadelphia from Ohio for a bachelor party with a group of guys. Called these guys the day before and they helped me set up a keg delivery to where we were staying. Even came back and picked up the supplies after we were done to make sure my deposit was returned. Great service/communication especially for some out of towners. read more

Service where it counts! This team of beverage distributors was eager to work with me and my difficult assignment on a craft beer exchange. Not only did they work around my crazy timelines, brew demands, and strict entry guidelines, they went above and beyond to make sure they triple checked my order and were within my budget! ***** FIVE STAR SERVICE ALL THE WAY ***** Thanks Franklin Beverage Team! read more
