All our starters and mains were served in a timely manner and were delicious. I ordered the scallops and duck and both were brilliant. But if you can't even reach infamy, or David Hasselhoff's "so bad it's good status", you can always sing in your son's restaurant. And that's exactly what Renato Pagliari did until his recent death, nearly a year ago last July. And if knowing the restaurant is owned by the son of half of one of the worst British music duos isn't enough to send you down to Renato's, let me give you a few more reasons. One, the food is delicious. It's not mind-boggling, but it is very tasty, very traditional Italian fare. They have their constant classics, such as Tagliatelle al Salmone, and the Lady and the Tramp favourite, Spaghetti witha Meataballsa. However, they change their specials daily, and you can get a real treat if the chef is feeling generous. I've given Renato's three stars for a few reasons. First of all, the chap who runs the place is quite cheeky. I actually had my bum pinched by him once, and when I told him off, he just smiled and started singing as he walked away. He's a harmless old coot, but he is a coot, so ladies, keep your partners behind you. Secondly, it's a very small restaurant, and seating can be quite difficult. Often, even when you book, they still seat whomever walks in off the street, so you have to wait up to ten minutes for your table. The restaurant is small enough to make a private conversation slightly awkward for the table next to you. But all that said, this charming Italian restaurant, tucked down a side street off of Tamworth's town centre, is worth the price, the wait and the bum-pinching. It's an adorable little place, full of quirky charm, expensive Sangiovese and excellent food. If you've got a big appetite, get a starter, as the mains are full of flavour, but not full.

They also did not bat an eyelid when we both burst in to tears as she asked me to be her 'chief bridesmaid'. We arrived a little early to an empty Casa Romana around opening time, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It didn't take long for the restaurant to fill up, and the atmosphere was excellent! Food, wine and service were all excellent, and the final tab was more than reasonable. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff always great. The decor nice but comfortable, this place isn't trying to be trendy but it's nice enough for a date or taking your mother to. As others have mentioned, it's worth making a reservation if you've going in the evening just in case they're full. Also keep in mind there's no sign outside, just look for the cozy place with the distinctively shaped door.

February 15th 2019…read more In Evening, me my mom and my dad had a family dinner together.Everything was going great. We first had to book this Italian restaurant called Rigoletto. After we got there we found a very comfortable seat. Mom and I started to order. My original plan for my third course was to eat a pancake called Crêpes Suzette. The waitress said that I couldn't order that as my third course. It was because there would be alcohol in Crêpes Suzette so he suggested me to try another dessert for my third course so I ordered tiramisu. The rest of our meal was delicious! However, our neighbors ordered Crêpes Suzette and we saw the fire flying up two meters high. It was caused by the alcohol. Because the alcohol was strong enough to make the cooking pan go on fire for two meters high. That was a funny & interesting night. I enjoyed eating in the Rigoletto and if you have time, you can go there for your dinner!!! Fun Fact This was my dolci menu!!!
